NFS looks a little TDU. But could have good gameplay. It could be great.

Hopefully the new developer is up to it!

NFS was the only racer that left me impressed. Both visually and in terms of how fun it looked. I hear it STILL has input lag though, which I hope is fixed by release.

I love this: http://stream.wsj.com/story/corporate-intelligence...

Everyone gets the impression that Don was forced out. He wasn't. He was going to leave anyway. And the business world thinks it's to their detriment.

They're also responding to the EA rumor, and think they missed a grand opportunity.

THANK GOODNESS.

WSJ is only thinking from the shareholder's perspective. But the fact that there's no replacement for the position and that Ballmer is running things himself would indicate that Don's departure wasn't something they were ready for. When Moore announced his departure he still had months left before he vacated the position, and Mattrick was already chosen to replace him.

His departure has been talked about long before the community melted down in his name :D

Did this hasten his choice? I would hope so. But the idea that he was "forced out" seems a bit premature. They were talking about promoting him.

He was offered a better job. And he was the primed candidate for the EA spot.

What really matters: who takes his position and what they do with it.

Don left because he got a job. I don't think he was sacked or something. May be he knew XO is in difficult times. During his stay. 360 was probably doing ok ? as far as Microsoft goes.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, doesn't change what I said--so I don't get your confronting "tone".
There were so many better looking games than Forza. But whatever.

How it can be seen as anything other than a downgrade for the shitty way he responded to questioning, or handled the direction of their conference is beyond me

Because he's a CEO now. Because he's probably making more money. Because he was apparently on track for a promotion if he stayed.

etc...

But we're still all glad that he went to Zygna.
