But they both look plenty good, really. I'm sure sacrifices will be made across the board this gen.

Other than sharpness, how can you say it's less detail? I guess it depends on what you call detail because the character detail is the same, just the old one it's a lot sharper. On the other hand, the new one has *a lot* better shadows, and much better looking/detailed skin. The background is also about a million times more detailed.

And it still looks better than the first, unless the almost plastic, flat looking texture armor for the character across from Marius in the first is somehow superior? It simply looks better.

No, but the blurriness is a result of the resolution downgrade. So i assume those are factoring into how the "after" image looks.

That footage from doc has horrible animations. There is literally no transitional blending at all. If you'd have told me it was made by a Japanese studio i honestly wouldn't question it the animations are so bad. Crysis had good animations though so dunno what'a going on there. Maybe just a very old build?

Uh.......no. I have seen the actual difference between 1080p and 900p iamges, and that it's not it, specially considering the size of the image we are seeing, come on. Try harder.

Well if it's back up to full HD then great.

You know Marius, we don't if you're going to be one of the great ones or just another flash in the pan hero for a launch game. Only time will tell if you're going to join the ranks of the Master Chief, Master Revan, Marcus Fenix, Commander Shepard or any of the others who got their start on the Xbox. But I will say this, you've been a pain in the ass so far bro. You've been a divisive figure in most forums as of late. Some want to hate you just because you're on the One, others want to love you for the same reason. Me? I'm just hoping you're going to be worth all of the trouble.

I couldn't resist and went there again today and made some more videos, also Driveclub on PS4. But I will post that in the PS4 thread.

Here's a classic. Yesterday and the day before Kinect Sports Rivals was also on display, but today they exchanged it with Forza due to "Kinect difficulties". A shame, because KSR was a beauty to look at. Here's the dashboard after they realized that it didn't work anymore.

btw, I've been looking at both games very closely, but Forza looks out of this world compared to Driveclub. At the moment I don't see the 40 % extra power at all. Forza was higher res, had noticably less aliasing [both had it though, I'm a trained eye] and ran at 60 fps. And that cockpit view, please don't get me started on that ultra-sexy cockpit view. It's simply amazing.

Whats going on with the lighting in that audi vid? At first i thought it might be your camera, but the frame of the TV isn't affected by it. Its like someone turns a flickering light on in the game or something?

I'm more disappointed by how similar to FM4 and GT5 the game looks when in chase cam. Also, it seems to have adopted the twitchy ass steering wheel from driveclub. Seriously, it looks erratic as hell. They both need to fix that shit.
