Those things are all ridiculous. Remember that ridiculous Master Chief helmet? Was on clearance at Best Buy a few months later.

They know their audience will throw money away ;)

No. That is a horrible article. This guy does not understand G-SYNC.

Variable resolution is not even remotely comparable. G-Sync will remove stutter/tearing completely from variable framerates.. with no hit to performance, no hit to image quality, and none of the input latency and jutter associated with v-sync. Some even suggest that it makes 35-40hz "feel" as smooth as 60hz. See.. despite what people say about "locked" framerates, nothing is actually locked. You feel those small fluctuations. You won't with G-Sync. And you'll benefit from getting every frame that the GPU can draw, as soon as it can draw it. It's a revolutionary display technology. It's how LCD's should have worked for the last decade!

And also.. never coming to this generation of consoles. The Xbox One's G-SYNC solution is sitting in the same spec sheet with its dGPU.

Variable resolution is not even a new solution. A bunch of games already use variable resolutions on current gen consoles.

Just saw the latest CoD trailer and baby, is it unsexy ... I actually thought of a little joke: you might not have the best CoD visuals with PS4 and XO compared to PC, but at least you get the shouting kids :D [irony off]

$250? That's half the price of the console. This is a new IP, unproven. Giving it the "flagship" treatment is just plain over-reaching. Can't they wait until we legitimately attach any real value to it?

Really looks fantastic, especially the lighting. At times (below) it looks life-like! 16 cars up from 12 in F4, not bad at all.

I'm going to nitpick here, but their names shouldn't reflect on the car as it is not part of the environment. It just look out of place. The game has some really good reflection going though. This is the only game I will miss by not getting an Xbox One now. Probably by the time I get a Xbox One when it gets a price cut Forza 6 should be coming out.

I saw some COD squad gametype gameplay and it looked to be on PS4. I was very underwhelmed with it graphically... sure to not be any better on XBone.
Looks so current gen.

Not that it doesn't speak to how multi-platform devs may find developing on the Xbone early on this gen, but COD: Ghosts overall looks to be an unoptimized mess.

But about Titanfall being 720p running on the Source engine... You could run the UE3 engine on top of it and I don't see how it couldn't hit 60fps. Hyperbole, but ya know.

Welp, that's what I get for saying COD Ghosts is a technical mess all on its own and that I doubt that Titanfall isn't 1080p.

But I'm not going to lie and tell you lower specs won't impact developers inexperienced with the tech.
