I am allergic to Kinect so if any of those two title depend heavily on it then thanks but not thanks. I cant believe Quantum Break is apparently a shooter (not sure if 1st or 3rd person)...Way to go to disappoint me with the only thing worth getting excited for from the Xone reveal.

Everyday, I hate Xone a little more....

Didn't they say in a statement that it's not coming along with a TV-series? It's just the game uses FMV as well. Will look it up ... but QB is the only thing that got me all giddy during the reveal :D

Oh, I see. 3rd person action horror. With Remedy I doubt it will be a straight up and down shooter, they'll have something thrown in the there that distinguishes it from typical gun play.

Makes sense. Microsoft believes in the power of the Cloud rendered games, and it's really cloudy in the UK.

Just goes to show that people ARE interested in the "bells and whistles". I am too, but to pre-order one over the other before E3 seems silly. We don't have all of the info yet. XO needs to show the games, and PS4 needs to share their policies on the DRM/used games issue. Too early to make that decision, IMO...

Do you have a GoogleTV device too?

I've been saying it for a while: the Xbox One can suck and Microsoft will be just fine.

nope. I said interested. Doesn't mean I buy everything. That actually is why it appeals to me- because I don't go buy all those kinds of things, and wouldn't mind having them in a central device...

edit: If it has great games, that seals it, as even those other features don't pan out, it still does what I mainly bought it for- gaming...

Well, no one does. That was sorta the point. They aren't features people actually want. That's been demonstrated by devices that already pitched them.

People are pre-ordering because it's a new Xbox and that's what people do.

Maybe no one bought them because they don't want a million separate devices? That's kinda how I look at. I wouldn't get one by itself, but if it's a feature on something I'm already interested in, it becomes a perk, not necessarily a driving force.

I always thought Sony did better in the UK, that was why I figured there is interest in the One(lol) based on having an expanded feature set...

I think the problem is the lack of communication to the casuals. They're assuming it's something its not, they're assuming it's a "1 device to rle them all", when in actuallity it doesnt save on any of them. Same goes for the whole DRM shit. Atm it's only known to frequent forum dweller nerds like us. Average joe hasn't got a clue.

They're not assuming anything Korn. This is the same crowd that bought the 360 when it was red ringing, melting and chewing up and spitting out game discs. People had heard all about the negatives back then too. The crazy videos of about frying eggs, wrapping towels, the separate cooling units, even the stories about people in their dorms using it as a space heater at night.

None of that deterred a single one of them from purchasing.

Um Alan Wake was a 3rd person shooter with minimal action elements, I liked the game but its in a similar vein to the latest Resident Evil's.

I wouldn't take pre-orders to mean anything its a known fact that shops will pre-order launch consoles to increase their stock and mark them up, also ebay sellers etc.

Agree, people are more interested in supporting a name than what the product can do, Apple says hello.

That was AFTER they'd had it upwards of a year. They'd have invested, they'd have games to play. It's hard to stop buying a console when you have games to play on it. This is new, and i bet a lot of the people pre-ordering are doing it blind, they're clearly oblivious to the way in which it works. Maybe they'll buy it even when they do twig onto the aniti consumer BS or the fact is ISNT a Digital TV reciever. But right now, that isn't wide spread news, it's specialist gaming websites and forums. Places joe public don't frequent.

Fixed :)

And hopefully both will deliver:

Geoff Keighley says..
10 days until E3. Based on what I'm hearing both the Xbox and PS4 press confs will be the strongest in years. Lots of games and surprises.
And on the MS Conf:
90 minutes of wall to wall games is my understanding.

Honestly though.. Sony doesn't really need to nail it quite as much as Microsoft does. At least in the realm of public opinion. Sony has still got the narrative.

Microsoft isn't talking the talk. They've done very little to actually get gamers (or anyone, really) excited about their platform. And we keep hearing about "wall to wall" games at E3.

Talk is cheap. And it's all they've really accomplished over the last three years. Talking. And waving their arms about to demonstrate the power of Kinect.

It's time to deliver.

I think both have to nail E3 for games, i agree that talk is cheap and the time to bring it is E3.
