The way i see it, sony need to be DRM free and show games.

MS need to backtrack on 3 things (used games, always online and kinect being mandatory) and also show games.

If both do all that, i'll buy both.

Depends how it's implemented. Optional for publishers as was previously stated by sony, i'll keep the pre-ordered and avoid the publishers that use it (bargain bin purchases only for those enforcing it) if it's full system wide DRM, then i'll cancel my pre-order and either move to PC and/or pick up a wii-U.

There will be plenty of games on the PS4. Pretty much all of them. There will be more then enough games on PS4 to satisfy your tastes. Neither platform will likely show me a game I "need" for over a year.

There will be games on the Xbox too. A few games aren't enough to save Microsoft from themselves anymore. Especially when they're all second/third party soft exclusives.

But I do expect them to come out swinging. Literally. Kinect yo.

Guess we will find out over the course of the year how many games are coming, but for the masses if there is a game that they really want to play, they will pick up whatever platform it is based on.

Not if the system issues don't go away. No game could make me want a system i can't rent games on. Or lend games to friends with, or sell and buy games used etc. literally not a single game could do that, not even uncharted and we all know how much i love uncharted.

Yeah, i also remember the begining of last gen, their were so many games and new IP's that got me so pumped, i really hope after this E3 my love for gaming is re-ignited, as gaming has become really jaded for me as of late.

Ghosts will be on 360 and PS3 and will basically be the same game. I'm not sure that's actually true. And even if it were, it's as mutliplatform as a game gets. It's not going to sell Xbox, it's going to sell everything.

Although I do think the COD crowd will mostly go to the Xbox. For reasons. None of them are particularly flattering.

Like I said: The Xbox can suck and it will do fine.

Even when you can get the same game on the system they already own? With a much larger and active community? Somehow i doubt that. I mean, there has always been the lure of a better looking version of games like COD, but you didn't see PS3/360 owners rush out to upgrade their PC to play it, did you...

PC gaming is very different than the console Kid's, The new systems will fly of the shelves come launch. Only a fuck up on the price will stop them selling in there droves.

eh, I have a cable box already, and I won't mind running it through so I can have it all on one input. I'm personally interested in the interface and added functionality(ie, a better version of what I use now with the 360/kinect). I'm only speaking for myself, obviously, and I am interested in those things. That said, if MS doesn't have the games I want, I won't get it, but I'm pretty confident they will come through.

All that said, I won't make any kind of determination until after E3. I will, of course, laugh my ass off if Sony shows off essentially the same functions. It will be interesting to watch all the hate( or surprising sudden indifference/ acceptance of said functions/ peripherals)...

In PC there is nothing called used games. Only one copy can be played if the same Steam account on another computer then it can be downloaded and played on other PC as well or simply pirate, download the game day1. lol. There is no value of disk based PC games. Sure PC games are much cheaper but only multiplats. Many devs may not even release the PC version.

Steam sales and cheaper games help make services like steam easier to swallow. If both Xbone and PS4 had system DRM but all games where £20, i'd probably be OK with that.

Definitely having gaming rig is good idea since 90% games are multiplat so if consoles are low powered PC with apps and all then it is not much of use. I actually planned to make a gaming rig for 1500$. Nzxt 630 full tower case and high qaulity PSU.. My budget for these 2 alone was 400-500$. Everything got cancelled since Feb. I think I will be content with 1080P 30fps on 40inch TV.
