On pense surfer anonymement ...

In ye olden days of PC gaming i would just up sticks and find another server, but the whole framework of matchmaking in every game makes it so easy for people to just troll games.
Had a few funny bugs aswell, one of which forced me to leave the game, had been shot, and when i spawned a nade went off under me, ended up in limbo, not dead, not alive and totally unable to do anything all while the screen was twitching and flicking between corpse and life.
Also, just completed the game. I'm reluctant to say it is the best game I've played only because it frustrated me on a number of occasions. There was far too much combat. Many times I would fight through a bunch of enemies and be killed by a rocket for example. The game would then throw me back to the very beggining of that section. WHY?!?! It is easy to overlook stuff like this though when the game tells a great story with incredible animation and voice acting. I firmly believe this is the best looking game I've ever played. Perhaps Crysis technically beats it but no other game has almost every building interior unique from the rest. There is just so many objects scattered around and detail in every nook and cranny.
I cannot wait to see what Naughty Dog do next.

Beagle, ive had the same issues with single player aswell, just frustrating sections, usually not issues with combat but controls. Trying to hide against a wall only to hide on the side of the thing in open view, or trying to climb something only to jump over the barrier beside it. Thankfully the abundance of checkpoints means im never much further back, but i have something like 32 continues from checkpoints on normal which is bordering on too human figures, most of which id say are caused by random control issues.
I just think games that created and/or first mastered genres deserve a little more respect for games like Uncharted 2, that while better than those games by today's standards, are only so great b/c they stood on the shoulders of much greater games to get to that point. Make sense? Not sure if i'm being clear. I'm NOT ripping on uncharted 2, I agree it's one of the most polished and excellent single player experiences I've ever had.
I just wanted to make clear my original point. No biggie...

it is also easy as hell to say what is the best things in life, becasue it's opinion based. i think pulp fiction is the best film i've seen, i think the best food is spicy chicken fajitas, i think the best book is roald dahl george's marvellous medicine, and i think the best album ever is slipknot's self titled. it's my opinion so it's right for me, you may not agree, but then that would be your opinion now wouldnt it?

HUNTED BY HEAVEN....HATED BY HELL....DRIVEN BY VENGEANCE!
With that said, I'll give this a go after I'm done with Borderlands. I know it'll be GOTY, so I'm in no real rush. Also, I'm broke.

Interesting gap in how to look at the world. Must be a cultural thing. I don't know anyone quite so single-minded. That's not an insult, just an observation.
And slipknot? really, slipknot? Now it all makes sense ;-P
Just kidding btw, I'm not taking this discussion seriously at all in case that wasn't clear through text. Just find it funny whenever I hear "best ever" comments. Always puts a smile on my face.

The only 'best' I could ever give a definitive answer to is the best film - or set of films - of all time: The Lord of the Rings. Never to be topped.
And FFS. The L2 button is so god damn sensitive. If I put my pad down to go do something and come back I always throw a fucking grenade. /rant
