Yeah, they look just like Sonic Shuffle which was shit too.

But hey, at least you can play as Blaze in them! Gives me my share of fanservice, I'm such a sucker for Blaze. :)

I just can not find a Wii.
I'm not sure if I still want one (waiting for galaxy). I just want to see If I can hold out against the temptation if it's in front of me?

I can honestly say that I've already had more pure fun with the Wii than I've had with games in years, and when I think about the prospects for games in the future - based on the experiences I've already had with it and the understanding of what it can do - I'm almost getting wet, female style.

That said, I feel like back in the Dreamcast days with this. I had ultra fun with games like Jet Set Radio, but I kept not recommending the console to others. I didn't exactly say "DON'T GET ONE!", but I refrained from pursuing people beating the idea into their heads.

Why? (Nobody will ask why so I'll ask myself :D)

Well, quite simply because JSR won't beat Metal Gear Solid for a lot of people. Likewise, the dizzying feeling of flying sky high, performing tricks and landing perfectly for extra boost through vast landscapes with the help of just this wiimote thingy won't beat the sheer intensity of something graphics heavy and produced like Gears of War.

In fact I wager it won't for most people.

This isn't about me taking sides of course, since I own everything and I'll be there beside Marcus the next time he fancies shooting locust grunts, but I do feel like maybe I'm getting something special out of playing games on the Wii that doesn't apply to everyone. Much like Jet Set Radio back in the day when people would be all "wtf aren't they skateboarding instead? and they're all 2D and basic! and why no tricks! waaarhhgh!".

So yeah, there you have it. For me, the Wii - much like the DS but to an even greater extent - IS the best thing to happen to ME gaming wise in years, but whether or not it is for you you really gotta find out yourself.

It is super worth giving it a huge, fat, honest shot though. You could be missing something you might truly enjoy. Just of like JSR.

The Wii on the otherhand...well I'm just not sure about that. I'll have to actually try one though--that would only be fair. Sorta funny that the games I'm most interested in (Smash, Fire Emblem, Super Paper Mario) use the classic controller and could have easily been Gamecube games.

Is that Tetris Attack a virtual console release? That means no internet multiplayer, right? That's a damn crime.

Well the first thing you wanna do is throw away any preconcieved notions of what you "want" or you're "interested" in. If you'd asked me what I wanted before its release I wouldn't exactly have said "bowling". Yet, when you bowl and you realise that your left curve translates into the game (I have NO IDEA how) it gets petty weird and exciting.

Of course, Wii bowling isn't exactly an epic experience per se, but the console is made to surprise you, so it's best not to ponder too long what you "want" beforehand.

Well, I've said it before and I say it again; the biggest bane of the games industry is that gamers think they know what they want.

It applies to me, aswell, mind.

Per definition, if you know you want something you know what it is, and if you know something enough to know you want it, it can't really surprise you.

Subsequently it lacks what I - myself - think is key in games.

But this is all vague and.. totally off topic. Sorry. :)

Hotel Dusk starts out pretty slow, but man it's pretty fucking ace.

The way the graphics "work" is seriously awesome, conveying emotion and character in pretty surprising ways. I think this deserves trying out if only to witness that.

Apart from that it's deliciously noirish with beautiful dames and a badass protagonist. I'm just an hour or so into it, but it's definitely worth checking out based soley on my limited time with it.

I finished Ace Attorney 2 yesterday and that was brilliant too, but that goes without saying really.

Has anyone tried Lunar Knights yet? That looks pretty interesting..one of these days I'm going to get around to getting a DS again. Maybe when Nintendo decides to release yet another version :P

I'm still teetering on the edge of getting a Wii, not that you can get one for love nor money STILL in the UK.

It's going to be embarrassing if it's easier to get a PS3 come the end of this month than a Wii :S
