Keep your eye on one of these websites, I used www.wiipreorder.co.uk. They're updated every 60 seconds and generally blog/comment on where stock's been seen that day. Once you get an alert on a deal you're keen on, dive right in. Typically early mornings are best. Amazon stock is going in 5 minutes or so but other shops have stock for longer so there is more time to get the order in. Though it might seem short lived, it's getting a little more regular now.

The only problem is most e-tailers are now getting sucked into doing BLOODY LAME BUNDLES which I hate. The only Wii you could get from GAME this week was £332! :(

Although I had to get a bundle from Gameplay, I only had to get one game, not four and I could choose from a good selection as well. Also picked up a component cable and an extra controller for £250.

The eBay price is dropping here but I think Wii's will be thin on the ground for a few weeks yet. Certainly nowhere near the level where you can bowl in and pick one up off a shelf but you can get one if you put a bit of thought into it

On the proviso it arrives tomorrow, I shall let you know. I picked that more on the strength of the previous ones and wanted a game good for a group of people. My mate has Wario Ware so out of the selection this was left.

The Gamespot review was pretty positive though.

It's a good first choice I reckon. The single player is really good and a great display of how precise and intuitive games can be with the Wiimote, and the graphics are really clean too. Wade through the minigames and you can find a few that will have your mates gladly monkying about.

For longer single player endeavours Red Steel and Zelda are the best bets though, but on the flipside they'd be terrible with friends around.

I'll probably get Zelda when I'm done with Crackdown. Red Steel I'll pass on having had a go. Nice try but the implementation feels a bit ropey to me.

Now just to get that attractive young lady who expressed an interest in the Wii round and I'm set!

Ok so it arrived today. I've looked online but didn't turn up much, can you get an Ethernet adaptor yet? I'm not keen on going wireless at home, tried before and it's pretty patchy/drops out.

I know Nintendo announced one but couldn't see it out yet...will a USB/ethernet adaptor do the trick?

I'll have to try it, I still haven't played the 360/PS3 "Sonic The Hedgehog" and despite all warnings I will eventually force myself through it.

Shortest possible review of 360 Sonic:

Combat rocks, controls are the best of any *free* 3D Sonic.

Levels have bits that are shit and that you can't traverse properly, best when they're solid and without bottomless pits.

Presentation, town/mission wrapping, load screens suck.

Bottom line; worth checking out if Sonic is the abusive partner you keep going back to.

Sonic Wii review in short:

Starts out feeling crap because you're a weak little speedwalking shit. Gets fucking ace when you level up. Bosses are fantastic, presentation brilliant. Soundtrack "rocks hard".

Controls still rather frustrating in bits, camera wobbles out when you bounce more than once on enemies, but for the most part it just *works*. Feels very Sonic Ridersy except for the obvious not-on-an-airboard reasons.

For some mad reason i would really like to see, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (film)
made for the Wii.
I think the wiimote is purposely made for a good cowboy game.

FF12 is starting to look pretty darn interesting. Here's hoping the gameplay doesn't get slapped around for being archaic like FF3's did. It's funny how it doesn't seem to bother people as much on the "big" consoles where they can dazzle with pretty summon effects and whatnot.

And... and... summons and... magic and stuff...

I'm tragically lost when it comes to RPG's but I'm positive those two things feature prominently in many of them!!

Use this link, let it load and then extract the mov file using firefox to be able to resize it.
