GSY Review PC PS4 Xbox One

We particularly liked The Surge 2 back when we reviewed it before its original release in September, but we have been concerned with the performance issues we have been facing since then. While our review code allowed us to play in 4K with an 80/85% resolution scaling without witnessing a single frame drop, we now cannot go over 1080p with our RTX 2080 Ti and i9 9900K and it's been the case for months. Lowering the settings makes no difference, neither did our many attempts at reinstalling the game and switching to another SSD. With that in mind, we were afraid we might not be able to enjoy the new DLC which came out last week. In the end, we did have a pleasant time with it despite the occasional drops (in 1080p!!!), but we didn't expect it to be so short. Quick explanations inside.
Note: If you're interested in The Kraken, stay away from the second part of our video, which shows its final boss.

Inside, you will be able to check out every single version of the game in the best possible quality. We have gameplay videos, FPS analysis videos for the performance mode of the console versions and we even recorded a few boss encounters. If you're interested in the game, we obviously advise you to stay away from the boss fights videos so you don't get spoiled.
