GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Wreckfest took its time to arrive on PS4 and Xbox One but it is now available and we have recorded some gameplay footage of the game on Xbox One X. Image quality is obviously less sharp than on PC when the game runs in 4K (see video), framerate is limited to 30 fps, but the physics engine is just as impressive and races are always unpredictable because of that. Check out our videos and let us know what you think of the game.

The metal will bend on consoles tomorrow when Wreckfest releases on PS4 and Xbox One. Owners of the Digital Deluxe version can start playing today.

Before they can finally enjoy some well-deserved vacation, the developers at Bugbear Entertainment released a new update for Wreckfest, which includes different fixes for the game and one new track called Bonebreaker Valley. Here are 2 homemade videos showcasing this free deadly circuit.

Our E3 coverage is now over so we can resume our normal video activity. Let's start with some 4K footage of Wreckfest, which was released yesterday on PC and will be ported to consoles in November.

After spending quite a bit of time in early access, Wreckfest is finally ready to hit the road later today. As we just got our hands on the final build, we have just had time to prepare 2 videos of the same track, but we plan on doing more this evening. The following footage was recorded in 1080p while the game was running in 4K. Let us remind you that the PS4 and Xbox One versions will only be released on November 20.

Trailer PC

Here is the launch trailer of Wreckfest as the game will leave early access on PC next week. It will release on PS4 and Xbox One Novembre 20.
Update: trailer has left early access been fixed.

No April Fools bad jokes on Gamersyde as you probably know by now that it isn't what we do. On the other hand, we have a few more Wreckfest videos to share inside. Enjoy!

Every now and then, we like to return to the mayhem of Wreckfest, which is still available in early access on Steam. We have decided to show you again the very first tracks which were already featured back in 2014, as you can see here if you want to compare the two tracks.

The PC release of Wreckfest is still planned for 2017, but obviously the version we played yesterday is still work in progress, with many things that are not final yet. We were surprised to see that cars now turn more easily, which makes the handling much easier and more arcadey, something that might not be to everyone's liking. The feedback we get from the track is also a bit disappointing, with too few vibrations in the controller to really feel the car and understand what's going on. That said, the version we played yesterday is not final, so let's hope the game will turn out well when the game is finally ready to leave Early Access this Winter.
