GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Our second batch of videos captured with our newly acquired GTX 1080 will focus on two games which had performance issues at launch. No need to dtail the Batman: Arkham Knight fiasco once again, since the game didn't even run perfectly smoothly after its second release, especially for those who owned an SLI (the game didn't support it...). The case of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is clearly different, as The Chinese Room cannot be compared with Warner Brothers and Rocksteady in terms of budget and manpower. That being said, it was still surprising to see how poorly it performed on high end systems, forcing players to tone down some more demanding settings. Even last week the latest SLI profile from Nvidia didn't allow to max out all settings and maintain 60 fps. As you can see, things have changed for both games thanks to the new GTX.

Thanks for the videos. I would love to see The Witcher 3 running on this GC, especially at Novigrad, where I get the lowest FPS with my GTX980.

be careful with witcher 3, in some cities you may be CPU-capped. Not saying it is not a heavy game for GPU, but it is one of those few games who pull the neck of my 4.5 GHz i5 2500k, which is for sure outdated, but still capable of dominating every game out there. Witcher 3 and the horribly developed Warhammer Vermintide were till now the only 2 games who would bring the cpu close to 100% usage.

LOL, the build of Arkham Knight they're playing here still doesn't have the missing rain effect bug fixed. There's no water dripping off of Batman or the Batmobile. That game was, is STILL such a cluster-eff. It'd almost be hilarious if it wasn't so damn sad...

We downloaded the game on Steam yesterday, so either it's there and you need to get your eyes checked, or it's never been implemented.

Watched it again and compared to PS4 vid and rain drops are there and reacting, at least it seems to me :D
Driftwood, will you record more vids? Rise of the Tomb Raider maybe? You couldn't max out with your old GPU if I remember right

The level of detail cannot really compared to the console versions most of the time. And yes, we're pointing out the fact that games are clearly not optimized as they should sometimes, but not only. Some settings can be quite demanding indeed, and the PC gamers who believe they can run anything at maxed settings and hope for a steady 60 fps framerate are quite delusional. So here basically, that's what we want to show here. Some games do require some more power than others, the reasons for that being those I just mentioned. It's nothing new, but for people like me who were crazy enough to invest that much money in a new GPU, it proves that even the games we never really thought would work better can. It's also a way to show games running properly now, which was impossible for us to achieve when they were release for some of them. You know we like high quality content, so now that we can show EGttR (which looks really good no matter what some people might think :p) running at a smooth 60 fps, we want to share the result with you guys.

Batman I agree (MKX too btw), Watch_Dogs also to some extent obviously. Now when it comes to more indie games like EGttR, I don't think it's that easy. Also, when you look at some of the added settings on PC sometimes, they can be particularly demanding, even if the game was released on consoles before, it doesn't mean it's the exact same image quality.

I agree. But I think we are looking at it the wrong way: PC can handle the extra detail, the consoles can't.
Depends on the detail in my opinion.

Can't you start uploading 4K vids, or atleast 1440p? 1080p(easantry) really is a completely pointless resolution to be using with a 980Ti/1080 or Fury X.

It's also possible to achieve better image quality on Youtube if the video is recorded at 4K, or simply upscaled to 4K, because Youtube will then use a higher bitrate than Gamersyde uses. And the main reason most people visit this site is probably to see high quality vids.

No I can't, the capture card is 1080p only and there is no way we can capture 4k videos with the proper framerate (if you want to play at 30 fps, it's fine, but we don't) using Mirillis Action (which usually has an impact on the game's framerate anyhow, even at 1440p). Only possibility is to use DSR and capture at 1080p.

Now about your lame joke about 1080p, we are not this kind of people you know. If anything, the peasants in our opinion are those who think they truly are the master race because htey can play with a fluctuating framerate at 4k resolution. :

We're not too worried about YT's super bitrate. I almost loled.

I'm not sure what the point of the video's are. And I don't mean that as an insult in any way. The message I get from this, is that you need a GTX1080 to be able to run these games maxed out. Which shows how badly the games were ported to PC because visually, they are not that impressive (except for Batman).
From a PC gamer's perspective it is interesting, but at the same time depressing. 'You need to buy a new graphics card of +600 euro to play console ports'.
This is the usual trope of PC gamer Masterrace elites... essentially they forget that when some PC games were released they had bugs and issues or couldn't run at full 60fps depending on resolution.

Batman AK has major problems and it seems the GeForce 1080 uses brute force to basically force it over 60fps for a game that is not really technologically complex enough to warrant such an effort in spending...but years later since PC parts tend to be disposable and forgotten...it makes the game playable and probably enjoyable...and old those old bugs get forgotten.

You can't see the rain effect? It's there in full detail. How can you not see that?
It does seem to be functioning here. I thought I recalled it being a much more exaggerated effect on the PS4 build.

If you used Nividia's Shadowplay you can record at 4K @ 130mbps with no impact to game performance (1 - 3fps at most). With Shadowplay the GPU does all the encoding using specialised hardware, so it does not affect the games frame rate. I know this for a fact because i use it myself at these settings.

You fools can't even record gameplay videos properly. You actually use Mirillis Action which don't record at 4K and has a large impact on performance..

You're obviously amateurs. How are you even running a game site? You've no idea what you're doing. No point in visiting this site with low bitrate 1080p shit.

And you're obviously an ass, a real pro at it on top of that. :)

Since we're amateurs and you're not, I'm sending you to 4k Banland. There you'll probably finally understand how much of an amateur you are compared to a website which has never been bested in 13 years when it comes to pure video quality.

Farewell lost soul, hopefully you'll make better "resolutions" (pun intended) for next year so you can finally behave like an adult and not a brat.

....Sorry cunt but i'm back :) You can't ban me. Try it again though? Maybe try and block this IP? I'll be back. There's literally nothing you can do, amateur.

I can literally post better quality videos on Youtube at higher bitrates. AND record SMOOTH gameplay at 4K 60fps with NO impact to performance. You don't even know how to do this, and YOU run a video based game site?! Who's the amateur?
