No tesselation? Really?
Do you realize how few games use tessellation? It'd be more surprising if this console port had tessellation. Plus, tessellation performance thus far has been pretty awful.
Auto Pad, Mouse and Keyboard Switching
Good. Everything should do this.

Some of the animations could really use some work, the running looks quite stale. The visuals at least look okay, and the effort put in the PC port seems better than I expected.

Doesn't look bad. If there is a game remains to be seen.

No tesselation? Really?
Is tesselation really that noticeable in today's games? I've played a couple of games sporting it like Crysis 2 and Deus Ex and I couldn't really tell the difference if not for some comparison screen shots on the net. If the implementation was like something similar to the Heaven benchmark then I would be having that setting enabled.

I totally respect developers that take advantage of PC hardware and do not just do console ports. Unlike some people that buy expensive hardware then pirate games its like shooting themselves in the foot. I will be purchasing this one if it gets decent reviews =)

Greenmangaming.com has a 25% voucher for this game (and others) if you check the blog link at the top of the page (expires on the 10th). I decided to roll the dice on this one. Hope it's decent.

What's up?
  • nostradamus

nostradamus @Seth: if anything the enemy zombies rest to be seen if they are as good as seen on Resi2. Nothing gave it away. I dount it is, as its more a action game than the previous title. (15 Hours ago)

  • Seth

Seth I thought character models, lip syncing etc are nice step up as well. [url] (1 Day ago)

  • KORNdog

KORNdog not to say it looks bad, it doesn't. it just doesn't look as nice as REmake 2 to me. (2 Days ago)

  • KORNdog

KORNdog @Seth: the enviroments look a lot more empty. i don't know if it's because of the emphasis on racoon streets or what. but it just doesn't look as polished. lip syncing and facial capture looks off too (2 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @Seth: Yeah, looks on par to me. Probably even better if I'm honest. (2 Days ago)

  • Seth

Seth what i find a bit disappointing is Resistance MP (legit look terrible) replacing Mercenaries mode. (2 Days ago)

  • Seth

Seth looks as good as RE2 in motion. What is rushed about? I could bet RE3 is going to be one of the most polished AAA games this year. (2 Days ago)
