Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Quite a few people care about Call of Duty fwiw...
I'd prefer it if you'd stay out. You clearly think you're above any of this discussion, and the less monkeys throwing shit in here the better. So scooch.
We've been able to keep the majority of the sniping out of the individual threads which is great, mission accomplished. Now everyone can have their own love in in their own personal camp and never have to worry about rational thought or logic entering their precious console's home.
And the rest of the personal jabs are going to get bouleted as well. Getting old. If you don't really care what your games look like, what features are working on which console, or anything technical, why are you in here?
The gap will close. A little. But it aint going away.
This isn't Infinity Ward's fault. It's not DICE's "fault" that Battlefield runs at 720p and at an unsteady clip either. It's a demanding game.
But this hardware that MS is putting out, 8 years after their 360, that can do 1080 on most of their games, is a disgrace. I'd expect 60fps 1080p minimum for new hardware in 2013... but again, 720p won't matter much during this first
release of games during the launch window, because they will still look mighty fine upscaled, as most have seen in IGN's comparison of BF4.
Side by Side you can tell a difference... sometimes between 720p and 1080p, but looking at it not knowing most of you would be hard pressed to tell.
If you have a big 1080p television, you can absolutely tell the difference. My mom could tell the difference. If you have a small TV, you wouldn't see it unless u started counting pixels

On the other side it's questionable if PS4 games can hold 1080p. It's possible that XBO that runs games at 720p has more backup for visual effects than PS4 games on 1080p. At the end of the day it looks like PS4 devs needs to do much more balancing between resolution and visuals. I guess most people will not notice the higher resolution and you will only see differences in first party games that will provide better content or visual effects.

But the worrisome part is that COD: Ghosts still uses COD 4's engine, which is from 2007, and is not even close to being graphically stunning as BF4, and yet it still can't do 1080p.
Everybody knew the XBO's hardware was weaker than the PS4, but with Ryse being 900p@30fps, COD 720p@60fps, BF4 720p@60fps and FM5 1080p@60fps, but looking very close to FM4 or FH, it certainly begs the question if this 30-50% difference will remain throughout the entire next generation, of course Microsoft will further developer their development tools, but so will Sony.
Even a 30% difference is enough for me, it could mean the difference between 30fps and 60fps, or between 720p/900p and 1080p - like COD and BF4's cases, and while it may not matter to a lot of people, It definitely matters to me, because I can notice the difference and it isn't small. Also, 720p is what PS3 and X360 do, if you can't get a significantly better resolution than 8 year old hardware, then there's a problem. Yes, I know the textures will be better, have more effects, better physics and etc, but it is still 720p graphical quality.
I'm not dishing XBO, I am certain it will have great games, but like almost everybody is saying: "How do you justify paying US$/£$100 more on a less powerful/capable hardware?" Hopefully the answer isn't Kinect, because the XBO doesn't need it to work and most gamers, 3/4 to be exact - according with the X360 and Kinect sales ratio, don't want it.

The version of BF4 that DF got had more effects turned on (like AO) on the PS4 and ran at a better framerate too.
Wow. Just wow. Mario games are among the most intruiging games ever made and the formula is still working. But I guess it's like in music, the high quality stuph is for few, the generic shit for the masses.
the only tyrant I accept is my inner voice [and my two kids ;)]
ultimate gamers threat: "Watch it, or I'll spoil you all!"
I'm actually already pretty impressed with how it's running on machines at these specs.
The Xbox One's graphical powerhouse (Ryse) "doesn't even" run at 1080p.. and that's tasked specifically with running on the Xbox One. I know, I know. Artistic reasons.
