What's silly is how grown adults argue over console favouritism .. :/

Ironic though that Xbox fans were first to throw the "power advantage" at PS2 and PS3 users in the last 2 gens but when the shoe is on the other foot everyone is being childish all of a sudden.

Sure is funny to watch though.
It is not just power but value for money as well. If someone has no interest in Kinect he still has to pay 500 for Xbone, XO whatever you like to call. If I were a Xbox fan and happy with the upgrade from 360. That would be bug me more.

if it's pro Sony only journalism, maybe ... but due to the heavy banning over there for anyone saying something slightly positive about Xbox is not very assuring. I just saw NeoGAF and didn't even bother to open the link. That says a lot. Until 6 months ago GAF was a place where I could get lost for hours in the threads, I really enjoyed it. Been waiting for two years for my account.

But lately it's a battlefield over there and I do intend to stay far away from it and it's biased feel.

Because fanatics take shit personally. All negative news about Microsoft and the Xbox One is not a personal attack on you.

And honestly.. there are big fanboys and trolls there on both sides. But no other forum has nearly as much developer and media interaction. You can blame NeoGAF for the negativity, but it's not really their fault. Nor is it Reddit's fault. Or any other internet "hivemind." The reality is that there are individuals representing individual opinions in all of those sorts of places. From a variety of perspectives.

That public perception isn't really local to NeoGAF anyway.

You sure you're not mistaking bias for a solid 6 months of shite MS policies, PR, confused messaging, bad decisions, and general bad news? News is news...how can a forum help it when 99% of all xbone news for the past 6 months has been bad news...you either stick your fingers in your ears and go "lalala, i can't hear you" like you've been doing concerning the negative news, or you post it.

Or maybe people legitimately don't care about those games. I think the point was that most "AAA" games are multiplatform.

You think a lot of people are letting specs dictate their decision. You're not talking about this one fellow.

"A lot of people" don't care about Ryse or Killer Instinct. If you don't care for Microsoft's sparse first party, you're not left with a lot else to consider than specifications. That's not a bad thing to consider. That's value for you dollar, especially in a world where most AAA games are multiplatform. Why would anyone without a serious interest in something like Killer Instinct want an Xbox One right now? You have to want one of those exclusives enough for it to make sense to pay more for less.

And if you do.. wonderful. But if not.. there's nothing wrong with making a decision based on specifications.

So this is potentially the game people are speculating is popping up at the playstation event on the 14th?

Good to see it seems to be more like the samaritan tech demo, rather then the others.

I'm simply using that guy as an example. I doubt he is the only one. I get that plenty of people aren't driven by exclusives, and in that case I agree with you- although I do think features will play their part, too.

My overall assertion is that the tech shouldn't hold you back if there are games you want for it. What good is a high tech gadget you don't use for it's intended purpose( as in that particular individuals case)?

Exclusives mean nothing if you aren't interested in what they have to offer, ie shooters and racing games. (lucky for MS that's what the majority of gamers want right now)

In 10 years Sony probably won't be able to borrow enough against their credit rating to compete. And Microsoft will most likely have spun off the Xbox or merged it into some hybrid Surface/Windows Phone device.

Meanwhile Nintendo is steadily profiting even while the Wii U slumps. Maybe Iwata knows exactly what he's doing.
