Look, when you have supposedly very fit football players collapsing and dying on football pitches, I dont think anyone is safe from death at any age. it's inevitable. I think we can do the best we can to keep healthy, the rest is up to God (that's what I believe). :)

Nothing wrong with video games dude, in moderation, all is good ;) I will never give up gaming ;)

now that's a better way to do it, i imagine you'd be able to incorporate hydrolic inclines into that too if they wanted. so when moving up a virtual hill it feels like your actually climbing up something.

AND I'm really excited for E3. MS and Sony showing off all that new stuff and the rumours are getting way out of hand right now ... if only half of it is true, we are all in for a treat. Sony seems to fire up some good exclusives too if sources are to be believed ... I'm giddy like a school-girl ;D

And MS is said to be making a huge deal right now. In accordance with Major Nelsons cryptic tweet, this is gonna be interesting. Only a few more weeks. God I love to be a gamer ...

What is with these treadmills? Is this some kinda technology you honestly think would fit in front of ur entertainment center :P Its a neat concept but no way is it practical.

It's just the natural direction VR needs to go to be all- immersive. Otherwise you've just got a head mounted mouse pointer. Which is fine for racers...and anything else where you're static, but kinda sucky for everything else.

VR is never going to be a practical component of your home entertainment center.

If you want to sit on a couch and look at a screen we already have a solution for that.

That's not to say that moving around in a VR space while sitting down can't be interesting, but so far the best solution for movement is an empty warehouse rigged with motion tracking cameras. This is more small scale, and perhaps more practical in some scenarios. All of this is research and development. VR is not ready for the masses. I'll be shocked if Sony's VR headset winds up being a big deal.

It would be a pleasant surprise though.

I'm very excited for the Last of Us remaster, because I only finished it half and will restart on PS4. AND as far as non rumors go, I am even more excited about David Cage's game, hoping for a release this year. And I really hope that Syphon Filter reboot rumour is true as well.

And Guerillas MMO is also something I have my eyes on ;D

Of course I'm excited for MS exclusives as well (Quantum Break and Rare stuph especially, as well as hoping for Ryse2).

And let's not forget Ninty. I guess we will see one or two reboots as well ;D

MK x KI. Ed Boon's been teasing MK10 rumors. KI has a questionable future. There's a good fit.

Which, if real, would be pretty popular. As a fan of the genre I'd still be completely uninterested.

But the kids would love it.

And there's mostly compression on internet videos. But it applies to all three systems equally in this video. If one looks better, it obviously looks better, because the codec compresses the whole video, not just portions of it.

Also funnily, it's interesting that this comes from you. You should know about compression, with your highly-compressed anger and such ;D

The old, accurate argument. Video compression makes that comparison worthless.

That's why DF uses high bitrate video and high bitrate images to do their comparisons. That's really the only way to do it. The addition of compression artifacts masks image quality, and to some degree this video masks performance too. It's not a very good comparison.

I'm not saying there's a big difference. I couldn't tell one way or the other.

Highly illogical. Compression artifacts are plainly visible and muddy the image. You like analogies: apply a layer of Vaseline to someone else's prescription glasses, and then look at a series of shitty reproductions of classic works of art. I bet they all look the same. Just because you've murdered the quality equally does not mean you will be able to perceive the subtle differences.

What are you trying to tell me? That the applied codecs differentiates from left to middle to right or from left to right? It takes off - let's say- 30% of the original video quality. But it's still taking it off from 100% and 95% and 90% for instance. This cannot be so hard to understand, c'mon ...

Read my posts. It's spelled out in pretty plain English. Your logic is incredibly flawed.

You can not fairly compare a 70% complete sample of something to another 70% complete sample of something else and call it accurate. See the eyeglasses analogy. And on top of that, when you muddy the quality equally across the board you're doing the most damage to the high end.. and in some cases hiding the ugly on the low end.
