They are using the dude from x-men united that played colossus when they were breaking into the mansion to capture mutants to play as master chief.

With regards to the Chief's voice.
We recorded two actors for the Chief's voice. This is set more than 20 years ago - Chief, by necessity has to sound much younger. Downes is our main Chief however and will be joining us at comiccon.
most of it happens more than 20 years before "current" Halo events. At the start, they are fighting insurrectionist forces.
Series is complete AFTER the game goes to manufacturing. But it will be seamless and simple. You will be able to buy it on DVD and Blu Ray eventually, and the SIMPLEST way to watch it (for free) is at Machinima Prime, on basically any device - or Halo Waypoint.

The extended version will have extended content, obviously and will feel markedly different since it's not episodic. Also, most of the FX stuff is in production now, so the trailer you'll see this week will not really be indicative of some of the bigger setpieces planned FX wise, but will be interesting nonetheless.
And the what the hell, the chick from Chronicles of Narnia is in this thing, too. This is a surprise. :D

Yea, last book was a really amazing adventure and exploration style of Halo book that was quite different from what we've had before.

The wait for that book is going to be tough, but at least we have something coming on October 2nd, before the release of Halo 4 to hold us over. It the continuation to Glasslands.
The Thursday War tells the tale of life after the Covenant-Human war, where humans and Sangheili (Elites) are fighting against each other still, and even amongst themselves. The story will set up "the events and circumstances that will come to define the state of the Halo universe in Halo 4," according to 343's Frank O'Connor.


Falls right on my birthday :)
