Haha, yea, I suppose, but, man, it's hard not to be really impressed with where 343 are taking Halo. On a truly serious note, though, this is like my dream next gen halo game coming true right before my eyes, and I mean every word of that. All the things I've been wanting to see from a next gen Halo game, it appears 343 are doing better than I could have hoped for. As much as I love Mass Effect, for example, I've always at the same time been a little bit jealous that Halo wasn't really handling some of the same sci-fi themes nearly as well in the games as I thought it should have been, considering its widely held position by many as the franchise that put the Xbox brand on the map, and prevented Microsoft's Xbox experiment from being an uneventful failure.

Then there's the fact that Halo has so much potential to draw upon with all the fantastic fiction out there. The other day a friend of mine was surprised to find out that the Halo Universe isn't limited purely to just what the Master Chief is up to. He had no idea that there were all these books written, following characters completely independent of the Chief in different parts of the universe, and even if there were, he's still surprised that they would actually be stories worth following with other really interesting characters.

Halo has so much potential, and 343 seem to be bringing all that potential together for an incredible product.

I f you actually read this thread you will see that all the excitement comes from the game info/footage itself...

and no one gets more hyped and carried away than you when it comes to games you love :) (well maybe sath?), so dont rain on other peoples excitment for a game they are very much looking forward to.

Hey, I take offense to that remark. There's no way anybody tops me when it comes to hype. I must obviously be getting rusty or something, because I use to be the undisputed king around here. :P

I once had a poster on this very forum private message me asking how hyped they should be about a game I was hyping. My response? Don't even think about it, just hype it until it feels right. And if despite all the hype, you still can't find it within yourself to get excited enough about the game? Well, that's obviously no fault of the game, it's because you're doing it wrong. :)
