I personally dont understand what your problem is with hair when there is so many generic bald characters in gaming these days.
But ahh well, lets just drop it :)
PS. Yes, buzzcut is the lowest maintenance haircut you can get, but not everyone fits well with that style.
not to mention the amount criticism the original voice got. most devs would have simply found a voice actor with a similar voice to the original, but seeing as it was so disliked in the first game, they didnt really have that luxury either.
just put it down to bad luck i guess. but for me at least, this is a happy accident. you have a visual appearance that doesnt look so generic (it looks like old cole got a job in red faction armageddon for those who miss him)
and he has a voice that sounds like it could be a lot more emotive...not gravely-tastic ala all christian bale roles. win-win
@Simon- I would like to see some bed-head on him myself. Not bald, though, can't stand it on anything other than a military guy. The bed head could make him more carefree and "I don't give a fuck"-ish. It actually takes a deal of effort to shave your head and not miss a spot, lol...
Oooh, Profound, isn't it?
And yeah, haha, I know exactly what you mean about not missing a spot. I shaved a friend's head once and he got really upset at the patches I somehow missed. :D

Hopefully, they can make him actually LOOK similar to old Cole this time. Doesn't exactly have to look the same, but the fact that the new design looked nothing like the original was pretty hilarious. Continuity should be a given for a VG, not like it's hard.

Currently playing: Bad Company 2(PC), Uncharted 2(PS3), Dead Space (PS3)
Yellow/black and white stripes are back too, the most iconic features of Cole's previous getup. I am appeased! I am STOKED! I'm gonna jump in a cryo chamber and set it to release me when this comes out!
...Man I wish I hadn't done absolutely everything in the first game already. Maybe I'll poke a pen in my ear and try to mess the InFamous part of my brain up.. or poke a pen in my PS3 and mess the InFamous part of my saves/trophies up.
Hmmm. If only there was a way to measure what's safer.

Ah well, the gameplay still looks much more better than the first one, has more depth to the combat and powers, definitely seem to be a day 1 for me this time around.

I know you love the first one, but cmon, obvious things are right infront of you.
Wall slide is new, but it's a modifier of the climbing telephone poles and then grinding/floating up on roofs.
So yeah, I fail to see how this is much "deeper".

I meant it has more appealing way to doing them.
I seen ALL powers and the only devastating move I seen is the one were lightning strikes done and you control it with the sixaxis.
But this one is a tornado that sucks in stuff and has lightning to it, it is obviously different things.
The punch melee wasent satistfying IMO compared to what they have done with the melee weapon they added for this one.
I also saw Cole can "zap" his way up on poles so you dont need to climb up or anything.
IMO they added more appealing way of using the powers than the first one, not saying the first wasent though it was good, but for some reason I cant put my finger on why I am not so much interested in that to buy it.
I have been tempted though :)
I'm kinda stuck in looking at the gameplay side of things, so I always find it hard to relate when people talk about visual feedback. I mean I guess I notice it, but it rarely factors into the feel for me. I've never understood how the effects in a game like Soul Calibur or Tekken can put people off those games either, but I suppose the effects very much translate into a *feeling* to them, and to you I assume.
I'm very particular with visuals when it comes to music games, and I definitely feel a tingling sensation from stuff that is visually striking like Jet Set Radio when that came out. Taking Gears of War as an example I pretty much find the entire thing a dull, gray, boring paste, but it feels good to play.
The only visual feedback that makes a difference to me in games that are representations of physical things is animation and behavior. The way Cole darts around and places his feet properly in InFamous is very much key to my enjoyment of that game. I just couldn't really care less if cars spin around in a circle or not when I fire a tornado though, it's just too far removed from the kinetic, core experience and feeling of physic expression within the game world.
BUT HEY, we're all different blokes with different associated strokes.

The more visual effects properly done in a game done by the character the more "wow" and impactful it will be like, its a natural thing...atleast for me it.
You would think I would be super interested, even buy, the first inFamous if it was like inFamous 2...but something just isnt right.
Dont get me wrong, inFamous has neat lightning power moves and all, but I cant put my finger on why I dislike it, and I played the demo many times and seen alot of youtube videos of the upgradable powers.
But yeah, what is good to me might be bad to you, and vice versa.
Its all good :)

The game looks so damn awesome! Definitely day 1.
I hope we can do a super jump by using the power and launch ourselfs up like this.
I wish they could only redesign his head to the new one they showed :(
Gameplay mechanics do appear to flow better than they did in the first. The video wasn't as good as the E3 video, though. Wish we could have seen more from that mission.
