Biotic Charge just might be the greatest move in video game history.
YES! Very Awesome! I really like the slam move too, but wish it dealt more damage. Shock wave, especially at higher levels is awesome as well...

Thats probably gonna be my next playthrough, my ME1 char was a soldier thats why ive been using it (and i dont wanna do insane startin at lvl 1). It'll lemme compare a biotic to a soldier aswell, i think soldier is hugely underpowered, certainly at the start of insantiy being lvl 30 im gettin my ass kicked quite often. Krogans make me run for the hills, heavy anti material sniper rifle and slowing time down enough to get in the 6 shots i need to down him, can be quite difficult when avoiding fire from half a dozen other targets and finding somewhere to back up to.

I thought Biotic Charge was useless most of the time. It's useless when enemies are on other platforms and it got me killed a lot when I tried to charge into a group. I've seen it put to excellent use even on insanity though, so it may be just not my cup of tea.

I'm starting a play through as an Adept next, crowd control is what I'm good at. Also, this time I'll learn Reave, it's the best attack along with Incinerate, imo.

Here is another video with spoilers (a loyalty mission). I didn't have enough Renegade/Paragon points to trigger the scene, it's by far the coolest Shep I've seen.

My Shep almost looks like that and I've got a ways to go before I'm done. Thane is so fucking cool.

I find it hard to like Thane, he has almost no personality at all :P

He has plenty of personality, just need to dig a bit with the dialogue trees. Personality != swinging from the ceiling and bouncing off walls, he's more subdued and controlled, a little bit cold and distant as he should be, but you learn things about his past and his feelings about the things he's done in his life.

Very true, its not often you come across a character like Thane in a video game, i think he is very cool.

His whole race is pretty interesting, but I found kinda useless as a teammate. Hopefully in ME3 there will be greater variety in attack styles. How sweet would it be if you could tell Thane to attack and he pops up behind them and breaks their neck? I'd like to see some stuff that matches who the characters are- closest is Wrex. Still LOVE the game though...

I roll with Thane a lot, tho i wish they would have done something like what Frozpot just suggested. Ive put 27 hours in so far, still gotta go threw some planets. The only mission i see right now is the IFF mission(main), gotta search for more side missions.

Quick question on the IFF Mission (no spoilers please!) once you accept this mission does it then snowball all the way to the end of the game, with no option to do stop at a certain point and complete other side missions you may have left to do?

Um, theres time to do stuff after it, im not 100% sure whether it triggers a snowball or something you do after it. I CAN tell you i did stuff after it before being guided. Also, you can continue playing after the big finale, its not like ME1 where youre stuck repeating the final mission so dont feel obliged to do everything possible, you do...for the most part get another chance.

It's better to do all loyalty quests before IFF. After beating the IFF mission you can still do quests, but i wouldn't do any expect for one, since stuff happens if you wait too long ;)

Yes, you can still do whatever you want, but you have to remember that everything you do has consequences, even the things you don't do.

I double dipped ME2 because I don't have access to my Xbox. I must say it's an excellent port, runs exceptionally well on my crappy Notebook, with everything on max it runs at a steady 30fps most of the time. But it's still a port, most evident in the lazy UI design. It's very counter-intuitive just as the combat is not as fluid as on the consoles.

But the reason why I got it for PC was because you can easily switch to English dialogue and I must say, it makes a world of a difference. The game gained a whole new layer of quality for me. All my future purchases will be the English version from now on, it pisses me off that I didn't start with ME2 for the 360. It's just miles better than the expressionless German dubs, I hate them.

I did the IFF mission early because I thought that Legion would get some really crazy reactions from people that see him in your party. It was not what I expected.

Remember the C-Sec officer who is supposedly LOOKING for Geth infiltration? Well she lets Legion by without too much fuss. So much for C-Sec security. Hello?! I have a Geth and I'm taking him to go see Counselor Anderson! Maybe you should call somebody! :P

I even got Legion onto the Quarian Flotilla, my gawd! Which turns out to be hilarious during Tali's trial as we're both standing there saying that we have NO EVIDENCE when there's a damn Geth standing right there! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

I half expected Anderson to leap out of his skin but the encounter was more like this.....

Shepard- Hey Counselor, I've been missing for two years and now I have a personal Geth bodyguard. I've come to settle business with that with that good for nothing Council

Anderson- You work for Cerberus?!!

Shepard- I have a Geth here sir

Anderson- No no! You work for Cerberus!!

Shepard- Anderson, there's a Geth standing right in front of you! Don't you see it?!

Anderson- I don't care about your little robot! You work for Cerberus now!

Okay so the conversation didn't happen like that, but it reveals a huge plot hole that Bioware left open. If the Citadel Council and the Alliance are so desperate to convince everyone that the Geth were responsible and not the Reapers, how the hell is Legion walking around with me?

Just one thing. Your last loyalty mission triggers the snowball, so make sure you're prepared.
