Well, he was at least recognised as to what he was and depending on your Renegade/Paragon points it could lead to consequences (albeit minor ones, they can't let him die the first time you take him with you). I hope this whole conflict will get more exposure in ME3. It really bothered me when I did the loyalty missions for Tali and Legion. Maybe it'll even be part of the grande finale, it's been hinted at a few times.

But more DLC and a DragonAge type expasion is coming to tide us over.

Good, as long as it's sooner rather than later. That's why i never bought the dlc for the first ME, it came out WAY too late, by the time it hit I had moved onto several other games and couldnt be arsed dusting the game off, plus the DLC seemed rather small in scale to justify it.

Anyone beat this thing on Insanity yet? It's a real chore and one medal isn't really compelling me to really do it. I wish there were more rewards in this one.

Im finding it real hard to be bothered, ive done the first couple of missions, thats about it, been skippin 99% of the dialogue cause ive heard it all already. Only gripe i have (and i had with ME1 aswell) is that the X button chooses replies aswell as skipping lines of dialogue, more often than not i skip too far and end up choosing dialogue lines i dont want to choose. Wish there was an option to rectify that.

Yeah I dislike that too. Seems almost like a punishment for skipping the dialogue they worked on or something.
Done the first couple missions as well and it's just sort of sat now for a while. I'm not even sure I feel compelled to play as other characters like I was in the first. Maybe due to the medals as well? Not sure.

I finally got the game and played for about 3 hours yesterday. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to get back to it. It's incredible how much more detailed the game is and it runs perfectly on my PC. Not just detailed textures and lighting but the game is artistically so much better. Each room feels like it has a purpose and is full of stuff. Each location actually feels like a place now.

Just started my 2nd play through, this time as a woman and i'm trying to go for 100% Renegade. Its so much more fun being evil, some of the renegade dialogue is truly hilarious!

I tend to shrug off the notion of ME1 being better than the sequel as nostalgia. Objectively ME2 is just the better game in every possible way. After finishing ME2 for the first time I went back to the first in order to get a Shep how I wanted him to be (I wasn't happy with the decision I took in the first, because I was blindly heading for a lot of renegade points), and it made me realise just how amateurish the original game is compared to the second, it's very noticeable in every aspect. No matter how good ME was as a gaming experience it's undeniable that's it's very rough around the edges.
