I don't expect Forza 2 to be overwhelmed by PGR4 in terms of gameplay--but visually--it's hard to imagine the PGR team wouldn't surpass what we've seen so far.

These are excellent shots -- perfect example of how to properly pimp your game. What makes them stand out IMO

1. The backgrounds are blurred, which is not out of place with a car shot but also remove any elements that destroy the integrity of the shot.

2. The cars are very detailed and are beautiful (and have some nice camera angles to show them off too boot!)

3. They have been able to capture the perfect level of color and saturation. The red car doesn't look like a red poly box with effects on it, but it looks like a read car. It isn't cartoony or overly gritty. The colors are spot on + the lighting and reflections are perfectly balanced off the car models. They just are not just slapped up there to say "we have reflections!" but obviously have been carefully crafted together to get a great result.

The bad news... this isn't Forza Motorsport 2. :| I don't have $600...

Anyhow, I was watching the FM2 movie last night (well, one of them) and I noticed they had a trailer cam that was "rough" on the road. I hope this makes it into the game :D I also like the CGI look of the FM2 video and hope they can capture that (or a more realistic look) in the final version. I don't mind the "Cars" like stylistic surrealism if the quality is really high and everything is balanced. FM2 right now, from the little we have seen, have either been very bland/boring or "toy" like. I thought PGR3 and GTHD (what we have seen) have BOTH done a great job of staking a claim on a "STYLE!" and then going with it. FM2, not so much.

A lot has changed though and I am excited to see how this turns out. FM1 was a killer game. Kind of sad it only sold 1M units considering it had everything I wish GT had (better AI, online, damage modeling).

I was about to say Acert...uhh--that's GT:HD!

It is looking quite nice though, and a downloadable demo before Christmas too. Sounds like they're more or less dropping GT:HD as quickly as possible to get to work on the real deal.

I like the palette there a lot, very nice attempt at a pretty realistic light model. Doesn't look as good as F1:CE though.

I think they rushed Motorstorm for the Japan launch. No idea why, it's an impressive game but not really a "Japan" game. I don't see how 3 months extra there would have done them any harm.

In your opinion. Have you played it? And by played it, I mean the full game. Not the kiosk demo, not the PSN demo.

Guys, that is a reworked PS2 level from the original, now cancelled, GT HD which was the new cars basically on PS2 levels. It is now a free download and they are working on GT 5 Preview.

Yeah the world is ick, but the cars are sick!

Where was all this hate when FM2 lacked a ton of features + ran like ick?

Anyhow, the thing that stands out with GT are the car models. What we have seen of FM2 is a lot of mixed bag IMO. The cars especially so far (so far...). The GT cars above are just absolutely beautiful. Put those in FM2 please! :D
