That was just a rumour, which was eventually denied by Lucas Arts. The demo will not even be released this week, but definitely sometime this month.

XAL, they made a custom cutscene so they don't spoil the REAL cutscene in the full game.
So the cutscene you saw is exclusive to this demo.

His powers look a bit over the top... I mean the game looks awesome, but did he just drag down a star destroyer with force power let alone cutting an At-St in half?

I'm not talking about the cutscene from the video, i'm talking about the actual ending got spoiled for me on Gamefaqs and wookiepedia. The novel already got released in Europe and some people have the graphic novel (which i'm ordering, should come the day the demo hits). So I know the canon ending to the game already =[The force powers outside of the films are more like the unleashed powers - Lucas couldn't hurl people 30 feet and do super high jumps too well back when he did the original trilogy and didn't want to depart from the depiction of the force from the original films for the prequels because of criticism.

If you read the comics/novels/gr.novels there's some crazy force shit. Fucking black holes and huge storms created by the force, force bombs, sith/jedi fighting with multiple lightsabers wielded telekinetically, etc. This game depicts the force the way it was meant to be.

With this game the secret apprentice is the most powerful force user in canon history - at least in terms of destructive power.

It looks like it is not as awesome as everyone is pointing. October's OXM issue has given it a 7,5/10, wich is a low score for what Lucas was targetting IMO. They say that the boss battles and QTE are not as good as they were supposed to be.
I know that OXM sucks, but is interesting to see this first score for what is supposed to be a must have (8,5 or higher) is so low, IMO.

Looking forward to download the demo. Game looks fun.

I read the review. Really really stupid reviewer. He docks a lot of points for no MP for christsakes.

The story was noted to be a strongpoint, and make no mistakes, Lucas only offered advice on elements of the story - he didn't write the script which is a good thing.

So basically in real world terms, this is around an 8.5 game.

You have to blame yourself for the ending because I really want this game and I don't know the ending at all because I forced myself not to check any storywise info.

If you guys think Starkiller is a super badass Sith, he is not the only one.
Exar Kun, is another character one who was the most darkest and powerful Jedi there was until he wanted more power and went to the dark side and became a Sith and learned the ancient force powers.

These force powers can be over the top depending on how good of a character backround there is and what they are striving for, and there aren't many which is a good thing because then everyone would be like some sort of a Marvel comic book hero.

Besides they want these powers because of the gameplay too, just to make it more fun and "awe" when they play it.

And I have no problem with "this doesn't fit in star wars or that"...George Lucas created the franchise and he can do whatever he wants with it, its up to the fans if they care for it or not...or they just want to focus on the good Star Wars media.

Starting tomorrow (monday) I will go into a Star Wars movie marathon(again hahaha) and will watch all the movies on DVD (except SW 1 and 2, didn't like them except first one with Darth Maul fight).

Should get me much more excited for the demo on Thursday.

I wonder if LucasArts have done some sort of a Sixaxis motion feature in the game...gonna wait and see.

Ever wished you could wield a black colored lightsaber? Now you can!
With the lightsaber customization, you can go with pretty much with all the traditional colors, but now black is there, which is extremely rare like Mace Windu's purple lightsaber which he is the only one to have it.
