I couldn't care less about specs difference. those will become negligible, and differences will be minimal. I learned this from this generation.

The difference was still there. 360version, given the choice, was the one to buy. FACT. And that was with almost identical raw power between systems.

We're talking a 30% weaker GPU in xbone next gen. The difference should be even bigger. They work to lowest common denominator, i get that, but they still take advantage where they can. Like 360 now being better with transparencies and alphas. So you typically see a ton more foliage. Usually a more solid frame rate. Or better lighting, or effects.

I think we'll definitely see a difference. Obviously ignorance is bliss in this sort of situation. If all you have, and all you see is the lesser version, and you think it looks good. Then you'll be happy. As a potential multi console owner next gen though, i want the best version of multiplatform games. And i fail to see how that would be anything BUT the PS4 version. Guess we'll find out in november.

But damn, why the hell all this talk about the kinect needing to go? Really, I don't understand you guys. It's mesmerizing. I have the kinect 1, naturally, despite being amazing piece of tech (with it's flaws), it was gimmicky since it was not present in every console, devs other than niche (dancing, training, whatever) did not take advantage of it. so yeah, pretty much collecting dust.
Now on the One, the kinect 2 being present in every console we can only dream with what devs are going to do with it! That shit tracks heart rate, muscles, facial expression...The potential is endless, and still, you want it gone?! I do not get it.
You want a xbox 360 with better specs, is that it? Well i at least welcome (and expect) innovation. Something that can potentially bring new experiences. If I just want more specs, I continue playing on the pc like i've been doing lately and just buy a new GFX card every now and again.

So when the new consoles were announce, i was excited about new features, not just bumped specs!

Because no matter what, people do not like Kinect, motion gaming or motion anything when they want to play a game, this aint Minority Report HQ we running in our houses lol.
That, and they jack the price up for sticking something people dont want and it has to be connected to Xbox for it to work (they didnt say otherwise), so yes...Kinect needs to GTFO.

Now put up a No kinect/$400 dlls sku and watch the meltdowns!!

I have said this earlier even before this 180 news came about.....I kinda like project spark and that is Kinect so I dont mind it to be honest. It was never a deal breaker for me.... I know it needs to be connected to the console but can we get away with it being connected and shuved away somewhere in a drawer?

Superior controller is up in the air this time around... lots of high praise for DS4. Titanfall is definitely a big-time exclusive on console (except I'll get on PC)

Well, this is certainly good news. However, people who are trying to give ownership of the previous policies to specific people are largely missing their mark. I said multiple times that I would gladly choose to be without the current policies, but that I also wouldn't deny myself games I wanted to play as a result, because I didn't think the policies were the end of the world. And that still hasn't changed. It was always about the games. It's only a bonus that we won't have to worry about it now, because I already said I was still getting an Xbox One regardless (puppies be damned :P). In fact, I pre-ordered my Xbox One along with my PS4 on the very day of the E3 press conferences. With or without DRM, I wasn't missing Halo 5, Quantum Break etc.

I even said just a few days ago that Microsoft could change all the DRM policies whenever they wanted to, that they hadn't been backed into the irreversible position some thought they were, and had clearly left themselves a big opening to change any or all of their policies whenever they wished on their official site, but of course people thought that was just window dressing. If they thought their strategy wasn't going to be the right one, they would change it. I didn't expect an abrupt switch before launch, however.

Family share might not survive, because it's downright chaos incarnate for game abuse under the new system policies. I thought that was an awesome feature. Also, games being available to be played through the cloud by signing into your account on a different Xbox One somewhere else without requiring the disc is probably a bit redundant now? The whole previous system was focused around not needing the discs for much of anything besides initial installations, but now discs are clearly required for playing games. Establishing clear sole ownership of games was easier under the previous system. Clearly some serious changes are coming. Should be interesting.

Im still on PS4's boat right now, but this shows they are afraid of actually losing and that is always a good thing, like some people say "Scared insert game company here is best insert game company here"
