Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

Since 6358 DaysIt would do well for people to recognize that by the time most rumors reach us they've passed through so many interpretational filters that it's hard to accept any of it without trucks of salt. That's the reason why I have difficulty accepting it. It sounds like an old rumor that got tossed in for good measure.
For right now Microsoft is claiming 8x the graphics power of the X360. That's 1.9TFs. In order to get to that performance the X1's GPU would have to have look something like this-
Shading Units: 896
TMUs: 56
ROPs: 16
Compute Units: 14
Pixel Rate: 17.2 GPixel/s
Texture Rate: 60.2 GTexel/s
Floating-point performance: 1,926 GFLOPS
GPU Clock: 1075 MHz
Bandwidth: 102 GB/s
TDP: 85Wts
This should look familiar to anyone who has seen an OC'd 7790, and this is about as real of an expectation that any of us should expect.

The 8x, 6x times of 360 is a PR talk. It can do some thing 8 times more or 8 times faster than 360 or may be both some tasks, benchmarks but that is just a way to sell the box. The specs are pretty gimped TBH. PS4 specs are not that good either when you can get Geofrce gtx 760 for 250$ and play all games, max 1080P with aa,af.

I really don't know her that much, but hopefully she can bring some sense to the Xbox division.
Since 6216 DaysAll other speculation is just a fun bit of distraction in the time being, but not nearly as fun as thinking about the games. There's so much that I originally wasn't all that into that is slowly but surely growing on me the more I look into them. Even Dead Rising 3, which I wasn't all that sure about in the early going, now has me pretty damn interested in just what kind of fully open world game this could end up being at launch. Depending on the possibilities regarding how far the open world truly goes and how they bring it all together, we could be looking at quite a sleeper that's a whole hell of a lot better than most might expect for a launch title. And if they can on top of that, iron out that performance and make it a really smooth experience while having it look as good or better than it did at E3, then things should get pretty fun. :D
And learning that the smartglass stuff is a whole other extra storyline in the game involving another character that talks to you and is trapped inside some kind of military compound with access to all kinds of interesting military weapons tech or switchboards and he can even provide you with various side missions, and that it's purely optional content on top of this fact, sounds like a very nice touch. It actually didn't occur to me till tonight that I don't even necessarily need to use a smartphone or tablet to take advantage of this content, I can just as easily use the smartglass app on my windows 8/8.1 pc to make sure I don't miss out on any features or extra game content. All in all pretty cool stuff.

As for the 7790, it's well within the realm of possibility. It has practically the same footprint and a lower TDP than the unofficial spec'd GPU. Considering how concerned MS is over efficiency and stability, it shouldn't suprise anyone if the 7790 was selected. Microsoft has been busy testing silicon and hundreds of boards at the the Xbox Labs, even after the May 21st reveal.
See the woman sitting at the table on the left? She has dozens of boards in front of her. Microsoft doesn't have to redesign another board, they already had multiple configurations-

Since 7473 DaysRyse easily the worst looking game at E3? Couldn't disagree more. That honor handily goes to the version of Drive Club that appeared at E3 (And I understand why that was, but if we're being fair, Driveclub looked like total ass at E3). Ryse gets title of one of the most misunderstood games at E3, and perhaps one of the more cheesy, I'll admit that. However, it's basically got the same combat system as the batman games, just with a Roman twist. And it's confirmed that all battles in the E3 demo were sped up (enemy hit points purposely lowered) just for the purpose of E3, hence why those executions were being triggered left and right, which made it look like some kind of QTE fest. The same exact type of finishers happen with plenty of regularity in the batman arkham games, except there's no button prompt accompanying them. You may not get what they mean when they say it isn't a QTE, but its pretty easy to figure out. Crytek just added a mechanic to get bonus rewards as you're finishing off opponents. I don't have a problem with that. You can't fail them because there's nothing to fail. It's essentially "Spartacus arkham asylum," and that's quite a bit better than what I was originally expecting the game to be. There's plenty of proof here that Ryse was the last game I personally expected to like or be interested in going into E3. I'm not a fan of their games, but this game is their first third person action game, and I was originally expecting a first person title from them based on swords and with too much Kinect. What the game actually turns out to be is quite a pleasant surprise. Plus they say there is a coliseum MP portion to their game, which I'm dying to see.
If the rest of the major battles in the game look as cool as that scene or better, then its not a game I mind owning at launch.
Forza 5 is basically an automatic buy. Killer Instinct has grown on me tremendously, and it's partially free, so that can't really be called a purchase. I've seen much worse launch titles than what the XB1 looks poised to debut with. In fact, it'll be a fairly solid looking launch, all things said. New Killer Instinct Glacius walkthrough. http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/58t96w/killer-i... Game looks pretty cool. Only thing I don't necessarily like so far is Glacius's design, but other than that, the game looks like fun. Also, I tend to always have an itchy trigger finger at launch for any new console, so no doubt I'm experiencing a bit of that. I really don't mind owning the games that I'm looking forward to at launch, however. And there's some pretty cool third parties releasing alongside the new consoles.
