Ryse was dumbed down for E3, people should know that by now, Lair was just tremendously bad
That dont makes no sense.

You are saying a game that isnt out (Ryse) is dumbed down at E3 (yeah right) as an excuse to make it sound good for what they showed (which looks bad plain simple) compared to Lair that is out for years and know how it is from start to finish.

First of all, this is no excuse. Just use of information. In an interview Crytek stated: Ryse was dumbed down (easy), so we could show more in that short demo time. Usually enemies need six hits and the quick times react different in normal mode.

As for Lair, Korn brought that up. I just answered. But I feel for some of you guys, I will have both systems so I don't see the need to justify any purchase-intentions.

It may be dumbed down enough for E3, but that doesnt mean how dumb it looked like when they played it with so much QTE that if felt like Ninja Blade in Rome setting. You can make it 10 hit for all there is, but they explained the "different normal mode", with other words, its still a QTE infested game in the end.

And still I might buy it, but it's too soon to tell. Somehow I find Ryse appealing, I'm terribly sorry if that offends anyone :D

Update: Can't we just be happy that new systems are coming and focus on the fun we will be having? There were also people who liked Road Avenger when the SEGA-CD came out, to each his own (I hated Road Avenger btw).

I will check youtube videos of the game to see how it looks like visually since i dont hold much for it interms of gameplay.

It doesn't help that some of the games we're discussing are the likes of lair and ryse. I have no issues having fun playing a game...but the game does need to be good to start with. Lair wasn't and ryse doesn't look it. Not difficult to see why we're not all that eager to play it.

This pretty much. A game like Ryse deserve every criticism it gets. The day we stop raising our voice for better games is the day this industry will end.

You see docLEX? The last three out of four comments simply annunciate my point. It's always the end of the game industry, everything is a turd, and graphic whoredom reigns supreme. LMFAO!!

These are launch titles. They're meant to whet the appetite, not be total examples of what the hardware is capable of or what developers will be able to achieve this generation. So I'd say relax and enjoy the early offerings for what they are but............well the gamers...........they won't like it if you do that.

Why do we have to enjoy everything that's shat out though? There are good games at these console launches, games that deserve attention, ryse does 't look like one of them. For the same reason i won't circle jerk over a game like ride to hell, i'm not going to for ryse either. Bad games should be called out for being bad. Like them all you want, but don't expect everyone else to swallow that bitter pill along with you. And certainly don't act like we don't enjoy games just becasue we don't like the look of one that looks awful.

It's like saying movie goers are incapable of experiencing fun and enjoying movies, just because they rightfully think transformers 2 was a steaming pile of shit.

So because it's a launch title it gets away with being sub par? Why would you buy a game that looks like it's not especially good with the excuse that it's a launch title? Makes no sense whatsoever. It doesn't matter when it's released, if it's a good game then that is great and if it sucks then it sucks. Release title or not.

Nobody is stopping you from buying it though, are they? But if you are trying to hype up something that a lot of people don't seem to like much ofc you are going to get comments counter to yours. That's kinda how a forum works.

Is a good game so much to ask for when you are forking out 60 bucks? I don't think so, and i certainly don't pay the same amount for an appetizer as i do for the main course at a restaurant. But hey, if you want a $60 bruschetta i suppose that's your problem.

If RYSE was anything but a launch title for a new console, nobody would give a shit. I cant believe anyone, after watching that AWFUL gameplay reveal at E3, would be willing to drop $60 on it

True, but people always buys less than stellar games at launch of a new console generation, mostly because that's all there is available, but also because of the excitement of next gen itself. For me though only Forza 5 / Battlefield 4 and Dead Rising are a lock on buy.
