Both Sony and MS have really bad launch lineups..just reinforces the idea that getting a new console at launch is pretty pointless. The good stuff will come at end of 2014 and even then, I am not be tempted yet. Either way, both consoles have got games that are appealing to me but they wont be released until end of 2014 and beyond so I am staying put and happy with 360/PS3 and the tonne of games I have to play.

I just want to know what this has to do with Tetris.
Remove some of the blocks and the thing will collaps and be shorter.
By that I mean, remove the 3rd party titles (since they can be purchased on other platforms) from that list and it would make the Xbox One lineup shorter, especially when there arent really appealing games in there except maybe 2-3 of them.

The Titan Fall gameplay looks awesome

After the menagerie of FPS in the market of recent years, I only get hesitant when I see the familiar gun/knife play. However the movement and mechs are cool looking enough to convince me that it'll be great. I just wish the rest were as refreshing.

I only get hesitant when I see the TTK's so low that don't allow for turn-around opportunities or to make good use of all that fancy movement.

I guess that's one approach to balance: make every weapon OP :D

Well there are different ways to look at it. It is not as if 360 is flooding with games. In fact I am struggling to think what they got for it.

Fifa14 is good deal at launch. But at the same time justifying 500$ for XO may not be worth it.

I think they're considerably poor launch line-ups. This is the first console generation ever where skipping a full year seems logical to me.

I think console-only gamers are just so starved for something new that it looks good :D

No I think you're right. Although in previous generations there appeared to be a little less crossover with the PC. The majority of third party titles launching there day-and-date with next gen and already looking better?

That is new to this generation.

Q- A quick word on Kinect - I presume there will never be an Xbox One sold without it. You are doing this for developer-related reasons as much as your own. You want all developers to know that they can always implement Kinect technology because it always comes with every system. Would that be correct?

A-Correct. Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems. An Xbox One has chips, it has memory, it has Blu-ray, it has Kinect, it has a controller. These are all part of the platform ecosystem.

What we have shown really well at Gamescom is the magic of games that use Kinect. We have shown the power of voice control. I'm probably going to piss off your readers unintentionally when I say this; I have an Xbox One at home, and being able to walk in and say "Xbox on", and for the system to recognise me, launch and load my profile, and put my choices of content on the font page is a very magical experience. It makes you think about your relationship with technology in a slightly different way. It's personal. It makes you think, I wish more devices would do this.

Could be the X1's launch date, or maybe just a wrap up of the convention's events.
