Inscrit depuis 7578 JoursI would actually be pleasantly surprised if Ryse turns out to be something other than nothing. I like Crytek.
Well.. I liked Crytek. They haven't done a lot of praise worthy work lately.

Inscrit depuis 7578 JoursI mean.. Deep Down wasn't exactly.. God of War or anything. But comparing it to action games that you think are role playing games is a little fishy. At best.
But hey it's positive and it's about Ryse. That's a bit of a first so that's something.

Inscrit depuis 7696 JoursI wonder why there is no new Watchdogs footage from TGS. Personally I am still de-hyped from Watchdogs. I just cannot imagine there is enough game under the hood, hopefully I'm wrong.

-Sea Islands Series GPU [HD 7790]
-The X1 has 14CUs [2 have been disabled]
-New Memory Cache Design
-Peak Bandwidth number is for both read and write [capped at 109GB/s if ONLY doing read or write]
-Dynamic Resolution HW Scaler
-ESRAM is low power
-Writes from the ROPs to the ESRAM "appear" to be free
-DMEs play a much larger role than what was originally speculated
-Goosen and Baker confirm everything Penello was saying on Gaf
Even though they keep using the term "upclocked", if the 7790 is the X1 GPU then 853Mhz is in fact a downclock. It was designed to run at 1Ghz @1.7T with just an 85W TDP, it can actually be upclocked to 1.9T. So they really cut the legs off their own GPU, nullified it's real performance over a little extra noise and heat.

Do you think games consoles can still innovate in the digital space? A lot of digital innovation over the past couple of years has come from mobile, tablets, app stores and digital services that have introduced new business models. Or will consoles always be playing catch up as they have been in the last half of this generation?
Phil Harrison:
The Xbox Live Marketplace and the PSN marketplace were stood up before the App Store and iOS. The biggest screen in the house, having the most powerful CPU and GPU attached to it, is still going to be the best place for a lot of game types. Not all, we're seeing games across multiple screens which is great for the industry, but if you want the most sophisticated combination of CPU, GPU, input mechanism, biggest screen and best sound, it's going to be on console.

"Q: Bringing it back to the original question - when are we going to see the indie products released on Xbox One?
Phil Harrison: I don't think we're going to see things at launch. I don't think it's realistic to see a developer get the programme and build a game and get it into the market on November 22. It's reasonable to expect in early 2014 we'll start seeing the first games come through."
Man, no indie games at all at launch...not even minecraft? They made quite a big deal about that one. Seems everything is coming in 2014. I hear you can't even upload to facebook or youtube with the game capture.

Inscrit depuis 7423 JoursYeah that sounds about right. There's a lot of tech in the thing but it's impossible for them to account for real world scenarios. At least they aren't trying to push that illumiroom thing lol...are they?
Only thing that's winning me over about Kinect is it's Harmony Remote capabilities. I'm tired of switching inputs and receivers when turning the TV on. I guess I could jeopardize a little freedom/security over laziness. It's the American way.
