Or instead of giving complete control to the moderators have it as a like/dislike feature. Where if a certain % of users who have posted on the thread (whatever method works best) dislike a comment, the originator of the comment would be on a cool down timer. If the function is being misused or someone's comment is disliked with no reason then the moderators have the ultimate say.

Well I guess you could consider my post unnecessary and you could also consider me a stealth troll for posting that comment.

Maybe a cool down timer could be implemented? For example, if someone posts unnecessary comments in a thread they cannot post in the same thread for a specific duration. Kinda like this comment. :P

A time-out chair..............IN HERE? LOL! Would that even be necessary? The forums here are like walking into an old western town. You have the occasional shoot out here and there, but 90% of the time it's dust and tumbleweeds.

Besides, voting someone's comment down should be enough, a temporary ban on top of that would be a little too subjective. And since it would be abused anyway, who in here would be fair and impartial enough to correct the abuse? And please don't say the mods, they make the same offenses as members do. Can you imagine them subjecting themselves to a cool-down or a time-out? lol!

I think things will get better after launch, at least I hope it will. It does seem like there's been a longer phase of bickering and trolling for the start of a new gen, but unless you're talking about the diehards, it's not going to last forever. People WILL remember what this is all about. Opening a brand new shiny, discovering all it's features and functions and of course anticipating the release of their most desired games. Even the most negative positions of others (as if they'll really matter to you) will be minor once you start playing and interacting with your friends.

So for the time being, just ignore it and treat it like the backround noise that it is.

Relax. And I have a problem with the constant offscreen gameplay without it being mentioned. It gets my hopes up. So do everyone a favor and specify "offscreen". Because these videos are usually worthless.

Even as a comparison of progress, it's massively flawed. Given they are both completely and utterly different in terms of time of day. If the lower gif was the same time of day as the upper gif, they would look the same. Both dark, both in silhouette. The improved vibrancy isn't there, You're seeing "improvements" that don't exist. But putting a shitty PS4 gif next to a nice shiny Xbone gif must have felt good for a few seconds...lol.
