Actually i dont, nothing worse than playing a game a few weeks before it comes out, because you play 5 minutes and want to carry on .... its a bastard lol
But i only played demos of games i was going to get anyway, if a game does not intrest me i wont even waste the bandwidth

If there is a game I am very interested, enough to consider a purchase, I have to play a demo before it. Just to get the feel of the controls, mood, and how fun a few minutes of the demo could be and imagine myself if I could have more fun with the entire game.

So demos have always helped me...but so has my gut feeling and my wallet haha.

Pretty solid demo, felt like a nice mix of AC and Crackdown.

inFAMOUS demo was really fun. Really liked the gameplay, awesome mixing they got, like kenshin said: Assasin's Creed and Crackdown.

This game is looking hot.

I'm getting a strong Metal Gear vibe from this game if that makes any sense. Just feels like there is a strong influence there.

The presentation is upped in every possible way that the first could've been improved upon and then that cool helicopter scene and even the scene when he's running from the vehicle shooting among a number of other really cool touches like enemies being distracted by something else and you can sneak up on them or engage, the busting through building type things that take place.

It's got a great feeling all around.

Haha you know i was trying to figure out what to get my cousin for his birthday and I've decided. I'm buying him a PS3 so he doesn't miss out on games like Uncharted 2.

Haha I assumed people wouldn't get where I was coming from, but I could get videos that show MGS4 and Uncharted 2 and you'd be blown away by the similarity in the general make up of the scenes, but that requires more effort than I'm willing to put in at the time.

I'll just toss in these 2 minor examples of what I mean. In MGS4, one of the earlier straight gameplay vids released showcased 2 different factions fighting against eachother and you had the choice of how you wanted to proceed or if you wanted to shoot them in the back or not. I generally get the same vibe from the scene immediately after drake runs from that vehicle that was chasing him downhill. In MGS4, there was also some event that triggered and basically occupied the attention of the enemies. In Uncharted 2 that event is the out of control vehicle that came crashing in. In MGS4 we see the scripted scene of when the gecko busts through the wall pretty much forcing Snake to adjust what he's doing and in Uncharted, while different still has similarities. In the case of Uncharted 2 it was the vehicle exploding and knocking Drake back forcing him to alter course.

And this last example I know probably shouldn't be included, but it's the first thing that came to my mind regardless. When that helicopter showed up the way it did and was firing at Drake, the first thing that came to my mind was the Helicopter on the roof boss fight in Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 that I believe you required stingers to defeat. Others may see it differently, but that's just what immediately pops into my head :)

I thought the first game, while they tried their best, lacked the thoroughness and attention to detail that is present in this game and what makes it seem so damn fun to play. I'm not talking about the graphics or anything like that just the make up of the gameplay sections and how they appear handled this time around compared to the first game. I mean.. the first game had a scene where you would ride on that water vehicle (not sure what the heck it's called) and you would travel for a bit in the water have some sloppy looking shootouts and then you'd have to stop and shoot barrels in ridiculous fashion I thought. It felt to me like a game that looked the part of a next gen title, but then at parts played like some early 90s title. I didn't think they had the time to make the game as fun as they would've liked with the first Uncharted. That's generally my opinion of the first Uncharted, but this sequel is looking more like the title that deserves the hype I felt the first never actually earned aside from its beautiful visuals.

In regards to the PS3 for cousin, I wish the damn thing were cheaper. It would make what I plan to do easier haha, but I guess I won't mind too much :)

Unbelievable graphics, reall impressed but dont you think they are focusing WAY TOO much on the shooting ?

Those dont have as much shooting as I am seeing. Anyway, I have no problem with the shooting as long as there is some good platforming and puzzles in there.

i think what they're doing now feels a lot more seemless then what they did in the first. games tend to seperate everything into chunks a lot of the time. you have a platforming section, you have narrative, you have shooting, you have driving, but they rarely intertwine. uncharted 2 looks like it does. the platforming is a part of the combat, the combat is part of the platforming. and by the looks of that youtube vid, they're actually making what is typically a cutscene, and turning it into gameplay.

it's what made the first halo stand out above other FPS's at the time imo. sure we'd had vehicles in games like that before, but i dont remember a game giving you vehicles to play with seemlessly withing the core FPS combat.

Remember we've really only seen 1 level from this game in action so its anyone's guess if this is more shooter than platformer. But judging from the first game... this will be a shooter with platforming elements, which is exactly what it should be if you ask me.

No one's playing the beta on here? I be on their a lot. I thought way more people would be on this. Looking @ the NPD, you would at least think that 10,000 would be online at any time but i put in alot of hours and it only averages about 1,200 when ive been on. Its been alot lower in the past 3 days. Like in the 400-600 range. Thats pretty poor even for a closed beta. *Logs back in to play some team deathmatch*
