DQ9 seems more like a spin off than a real sequel, as much as i like the DS, I would have prefered to see it on the Wii or PS2.

SE as usual duno what they are doing.

Although im sure sales will be pretty good, with all those DS out there.
Add to that the fact that it's got Dragon Quest stapled on it. Everythin with that name in there sells liks hot cakes. what a pity Blue Dragon didnt manage to share the same fate. They are very similar games.

With all due respect but this is getting ridiculous! They keep announcing only these kinds of games for the Wii. The console will be stuck in the kiddy zone forever if they keep on doing this.

I'm not againt these kinds of games at all but I do admit that I dont like them and I hate to see the Wii turn into a party console, a console you only power up when you've got a bunch of people around and you wanna mess around (not a problem mind you) but the console needs to be injected with a dose of maturity. Right now, I am loosing interest if this keeps up.

Just my two cents :D

The animations are fmv based and because of this, Ash will be the first DS game to require a 2 gigabit cart. I love tactical strategy games and am intereseted in seeing what Sakaguchi can do with mixing that with a more traditional jrpg battle system.

Looking good for a DS game :)

hold on a second arent both the Wii and 360 way past the 10 million mark now ? The Wii has overtaken the 360, no doubt but I i,agine that both are way past the 10 million mark.

It looks quite cool, a bit different than the average JRPG also, however i didn't have much idea what was going on.

Perhaps i shoudln't get the JP version of this, looks a bit complicated.

I have to say, I think it looks better than Odin Sphere. Not graphically - although I do like the subject matter more - but gameplay wise it seems to adress a lot of the issues at least I had with the previous game. Sprites are smaller now, leaving more room to move around in, and it seems more traditional in terms of its action, which I think is ultimately good for it.


Anyway, popped in to say that the next Fatal Frame is apparently being developed by Grashopper of Killer 7 and No More Heroes fame, and is made specifically for the Wii. Could be really, really cool. In fact, it could be cool enough for me to perservere through the heart shattering scaryness despite the lack of a compelling story, just to fiddle with the potentially very interesting camera/wiimote mechanics.

Oh and all of this says IGN.
