I have to say the hood reflections from 7:50 mins. in this Forza 7 video blow me away.

racers have been doing that since the start of the gen. hell, there were a few that did it last gen too. you not play many racers?

Xbox One X went past PlayStation 4 Pro on Amazon's 2017 Best Sellers list, which actually is amazing. I guess MS think they're dreaming right now...

My favorite part of console launches is when people post these stories about the things selling out, as if they weren't going to sell out on day 1 like every other console launch that has ever happened. Yippee!

not only that, i read each gamestop only received 13 "scorpio edition" consoles for launch per store. so there aren't many out there to sell out of. but i still expect them to be warming shelves even after launch. just like the day one edition of the original xbone was.

also, why is someone comparing the chart standings of a new consoles launch to the PRO which came out a year ago? lol.

Amazon.com ran out of stock after 25 minutes. In these 25 minutes it sold more units than the Pro in 8 months on Amazon. For a console that's "dead on arrival", "too expensive at 500 bucks" and "has no exclusives" according to the net, I think this is very impressive.

Regular Xbox One X will look great next to my Pro, will get rid of my Forza Edition Xbox One though ;)

I imagine there are a LOT of Xbox fans who have had a rough few years dealing with Sony fanboys bragging about the 1080p > 900p stuff. They've been waiting for this moment so they can finally claim the all-important victory of having the most powerful box under their TV (until next year when we see the PS5, and then 2 years when we see the Xbox One X2, etc, etc.)

I'm starting to question whether there is any demand for these "pro" versions of consoles outside of the hardcore 5-10 million out there who will 100% buy the things. Sony's PS4 Pro would lead me to believe nobody really cares about these console upgrades outside of the diehards. But then again, Microsoft has approached the One X much differently from a marketing perspective. Sony just kind of announced the thing and rushed it out the door with very little marketing, whereas Microsoft has made a huge deal about the One X, so maybe that will pay off for them.

The funniest thing about these new consoles is fanboys are bickering which is more powerful blah blah blah, but the reality is Sony/Microsoft are making these "pro" consoles because they are losing players from PSN/XBL who are migrating to PC/Steam. It has almost nothing to do with competition within the console space.
It's "cool" to be a PC gamer right now, its a real threat to the console ecosystems.

What is a huge benefit is the "PC-upgrade" feel it brings to your old games. I can't wait to play QB, Halo 5 and now Rise of TR and many more again with that enhanced visuals. I think that's a very nice thing the X has going on.

Too bad no Sunset Overdrive so far, but one can hope.

but the pro came out in september LAST year and sales are front loaded, of course it's sold more than the pro this year, it's a niche product that everyone who wanted bought LAST YEAR...lol

the same will be true for the xbonex. we can see where it sits on the amazon list this time next year and compare... i can't imagine it'll even be in the top 100 though.

So far it seems you can only pre-order the Scorpio Edition. Regular following soon.

I am holding out for a regular. I will buy in the store. I got my Pro on Day One without a problem and don't see why this should be different in the case of the X.

And it's good that you can start downloading the "X patches" before release. Almost 20 games for me currently. Hopefully Sunset Overdrive also soon.

For it to be "the world's most powerful console", I haven't seen a single game that blew me away in terms of textures, graphics, or lighting. In fact, I haven't seen anything on the Xbox One X that can even hold a candle to Horizon Zero Dawn or the upcoming God of War on the PSQuad Pro. And yes I'm view all footage on a Ultra 4K screen with HDR10.

I give you that. But what's baffling is apparently they've been showing a lot of enhanced games and they seem to look impressive... why don't show and wait even longer? A little trailer with 2:30 mins. of enhanced games sure would please a lot of people.

Must see Halo 5, it's one of the most demanding games on XBox One, so I am curious what they were able to do on the X.

The thing is all these X games are not built for it from the ground up. They are "enhanced" or with regular xbox as the reference/limiting platform. That's a little worrying when you are spending $500 on a console. I think Uncharted, Horizon and the like are the best looking games out there, and that's a on regular PS4. Nothing on PC looks that good IMO. There's more to graphics than resolution and textures. It's animations, it's details, it's everything meshed together. ND are wizards.

Anyways, I'll wait until the normal X is up for preorder or walk in the store like docLEXfisti says.
