GSY Video PS4 Xbox One PC

As Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is now available on PC, we had to propose a couple of videos showing the game in action with all settings maxed out. Konami apparently did not have any codes for the press, so I had to purchase it myself, which should prove how devoted to you I am. Because Christmas is upon us though, I won't be able to do more, but hopefully it will be enough to show that this PC port is a good one indeed.

Here are two videos of the special mission "Jamais vu" on 360, in case you don't have the patience to unlock it yourself. You'll see how violent Raiden can be compared to Snake. Playing in stealth mode is totally impossible in this mission of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, so be warned!

Our first contact with Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was on Playstation 4, and although Kojima's Fox Engine didn't look as impressive as we could expect, it was still a lot better than what we got to see yesterday when we finally played the Xbox 360 version of the game. Low framerate, pop-up issues, aliasing, poorer textures, the difference is quite clear from the get-go. That being said, this old gen version still has its moments, with nice lighting and weather effects (rain drops also look nice in slow motion) and well-rendered cutscenes. Problem is, as soon as you start goofing around because you have the whole Gamersyde team in the living room - and they never make it easy on you when you try to play seriously - things get a bit messy and it doesn't really show Ground Zeroes in its best light. We'll let you find the incriminated video on your own. Many thanks to Xbox for sending us this copy of the game.

Video PS4

We just received our copy of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and we haven't had much time to play yet - as proven by the videos inside. Since we didn't want to leave you waiting for too long witout anything to sink your teeth into, here are two examples of what you should never do when you are supposed to stay out of sight. At least, we've proved gunplay has been much improved over the previous episodes. More to come once we've learnt our lesson and we can keep a low profile.
Update 3: Since not much is going on today, we've added a fourth video showing a new Side Ops mission.

Video PS4

Our friend and first time contributor farisr wanted to give his brand new capture hardware a try and sent us the whole intro of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in 1080p60. We had to cut it in two parts so it would be a bit more manageable, but it's still all there. Many thanks to him, and hopefully with more to come when we finally have an upload service in place (yes it's coming real soon, let us know if you are interested in beta testing it!)

Co-producer Sean Eyestone comments a night mission walkthrough from Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in this 15 minutes long video. Additionally, after the Sony's Deja Vu exclusive mission, Konami has announced Jamais Vu, an exclusive mission for Microsoft where players will control Raiden. The game-prologue to The Phantom of Pain will be out on March 18 on PS3, Xbox 360 for $30 ($20 digitally) and PS4, Xbox One for $40 ($30 digitally). Retail versions are supposed to get more content which will be revealed soon.

Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released in Spring 2014 with both boxed and digital versions for PS3 and Xbox 360 while PS4 and Xbox One owners will only be able to download it. The title is a prologue to the events of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that will release later.

  • KORNdog

KORNdog @Seth: i mean, it's a viable option, but if you were a big fan of sony exclusives to begin with you'd need to have an insane amount of patience to wait 3 years to play it on PC (2 Days ago)

  • Seth

Seth @KORNdog: yeah i don't see this happen anytime soon. it's why i find funny some people suddenly say ''i'm done, after 25 years with ps, moving to pc''. (3 Days ago)
