What happened to the classic Halo theme song?? Do they not own the rights to keep using it? Doesn't feel right without it.
a bit akward, but it seems that it belongs to marty... but why the hell should it? when does a composer have the rights to anything that is done into a production movie/game? And i think that the halo theme doesn't fit that well, and there are themes that were made in the course of the last decade that are as "halo" and don't sound dumb like monks in space.
other that may seem cool in retrospective, was MGS theme... but hearing it now, its a bit outdated.
Regardless of how you feel about the song Nost it's engrained at this point and symbolizes the franchise. The theme song gets you pumped and excited for each release. It's a big reason why this trailer falls flat
I think this game is going to be good and will sell well, but I don't plan to purchase it. I have grown exceedingly tired of the Halo fanbase that plays online. between halo 2-3 there was a sudden spike of children players with mics and mouths. I'm curious about the story, and will watch the cinematic on youtube when there are online, but I can't purchase this game with confidence in the online community. Halo reach was their last chance for redemption but sadly fell flat.....fell very very flat.

And no, it the trailer "feels flat" has nothing to do with the music, no "launch" trailer since H3... even halo 3, is made with or just with the halo theme. The game is going to be The fps goty there is no objections to that going how bad the competition is and how good all the stuff revelead so far, it just had a weak trailer, so? If anyone wants something blood pumping and hype-inducing for release or something... Go see Halo FuD Live Action Episode 3, 4 and 5.

@ Tinks, they do own the rights to all Halo music, but they wanted there own stamp on it, if you listen to the OST there are some fantastic Halo type songs, the one they used for this trailer is not one of them.
