Frontlines demo and interview

THQ and Kaos Studios today released a multiplayer demo of Frontlines: Fuel of War, to be released on the 29th of February on PC and Xbox 360 (while the PS3 version was cancelled). We have an interview with the developers, thanks to XCN, and a gameplay video from the demo. Recording gameplay without putting people's gamertags on video isn't the easiest thing, so be ready for some insane editing. The interview covers everything from DLC to platform comparison, so check it all out inside.

Frontlines: Fuel of War trailer

THQ released this trailer of Frontlines: Fuel of War, and this week it's the Infantry Tactics turn to get an own presentation video. Judging from the menus, it seems like it's all PC footage - but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The animations looks good, and maybe this game can actually live up to it's promise!

Frontlines: Fuels of War trailer

THQ and Kaos has released a trailer of Frontlines: Fuel of War, planned for a release in February on Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3. The trailer explains the Drones in the game, there are quite a few, and it seems like Kaos has learned from their work on Battlefield - there were people who complained about the fact that vehicles were too powerful, and now the drones can take care of this. Hopefully they just won't turn the battlefield into a robot circus.

Frontlines: Fuel of War trailer

THQ today released this trailer of the upcoming Frontlines: Fuel of War, to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The latter version was recently delayed, while the PC and Xbox 360 versions are still on plan to be released during the first quarter of 2008. The game has been playable on several expos lately, and people really like what they are seeing - specially how the game has progressed graphically lately. With the release of Call of Duty 4 soon, and the awesome spring with World In Conflict, Battlefield: Bad Company and Frontlines, the only thing an online war fan can say is: Hallelujah!

Frontlines: Fuels of War images

THQ released these awesome-looking images of Frontlines: Fuels of War today. Battlefield needs a challenger, and what better is than a company that was sold by DICE themselves?

Screenshots of Frontlines: Fuel of War

Here come two new screenshots of Frontlines: Fuel of War, the new FPS of Kaos Studios (they are the creators of Battlefield 2's famous mod "Desert Combat", on PC). The game isn't really a graphical showcase of the Unreal Engine 3, but it seems detailed enough, knowing how big and free the maps are supposed to be.

What's up?
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (5 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah sure, but from what console reviews are saying it's perfectly adequate. I mean I'm sure PC is the way to go, but I sincerely doubt we're seeing a 5 to 9 split score wise or anything. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX not that the Xbox version is "that bad" by most accounts either.. there are plenty of people here playing it who adore it.. but the PC game is recieving higher marks across the board (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @SimonM7: I doubt that's true too, if other reviews I've read are any indication. The game was designed around an interface that's not represented on the Xbox.. (5 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 I doubt PC and 360 scores would differ much in EDGE, they simply don't fancy it. DA on the 360 is fine as long as you like the underlying game. (5 Hours ago)
  • callmekymbo
callmekymbo is DA on the 360 really that bad? I can't run it on my pc so the eggbox is my only viable alternative (6 Hours ago)
