Like I said in other thread. XO for 349 will happen within a year or 2. May be take Kinect2 out if they stand any chance to compete. XO should have been much cheaper than PS4

Sharing is not an advantage of the XB1 retail model. Disc authentication and sharing of direct downloads could co-exist.

For that reason alone I do not really consider that a valid argument in support of Microsoft's tactics.
I don't see how it could co exists. Its not about downloads or discs, but games. The sharing rule apply for all games, either disc or download, because every game is also available in the cloud. If the rule would only apply to downloads many people wouldn't never benefit from sharing, because they are still used to buy retail packages.
It would be stupid to introduce conditions when certain rules are applied or not. Either you can share all games and play them all from every console without disc or not!

I better live with 24h check instead of disc checking. And again: PS4 neither let you play any retail game from any console from everywhere nor can you share any retail game with friends nor can your friends play the same game simultaneously!!! It’s still not possible without online check, because you cannot guarantee authorization between consoles that are offline.

They are, we're talking a bigger difference in specs then what the PS3 and 360 are today, and today 360 multiplats tend to look and run better then the PS3 version. So without the multiplat advantage. It need to bring some serious exclusive fire power.

Actually third parties will likely engineer to the lowest common denominator like they do now so whilst those who really care about it may notice some extra bells and whistles, I expect to the average joe they'll look more or less identical. I'm more concerned as to how much memory Xbox One's hypervisor setup consumes.

Also the Watchdog devs, Konami devs and Avalanche devs have come out stating the power difference between the consoles is minimal.

29fps and 27.5fps is barely noticeable or slight difference here and there. 99% can't even tell with naked eye

And yet the price tag will be high for those who wants to get it day one, they gotta wait 1 year or so or force to pay up.
They didnt say anything about Kinect doesnt need to be hooked with Xbox to work...did they? did i miss it?

It still makes the package $100 more expensive than the PS4 with less horsepower. That's sorta not okay.

Frame rate performance is only part of the picture. Many have inferior image quality as well.

Price will of course be a factor but that's something they can rectify quickly when demand drops. The console is VERY expensive, I agree. They might decide to drop the price.

It definately is not. The price will be dropped sooner or later so I am not too fussed about it as I am not getting either console at launch but 12 months down the line.
