If you do some digging you can find some comments that indicate they're not doing VR on Xbox.

Another mystery solved. So that is it then for VR on Xbox. Might be for the better though. Is the VR hype still going? What is the attach rate of all those devices? Didn't follow that in particular.

At least none of my friends bought it, and that are 8 PS4's.

They've got 343 Industries, the Coalition, Rare, and the Forza dudes... maybe take a break from Halo and Gears for a hot minute and make a new video game?

we almost got that with shangheist and then they were forced to be a gears of war factory. i really hope they're allowed to go back to that concept. i was actually excited about that one. tbh they all need a break from what they're doing. or at least expanding as a studio so they can make new games alongside the sequels of established franchises. let 343 do what guerrilla games did and made an action RPG or something. get turn 10 to make something other than forza. hell, even if racing is their specialty it could just be marginal change like making a PGR title instead of forza.

they need to do something though, because the problem they have with sticking to the same 3 or 4 AAA franchises is it doesn't bring in new buyers. if people never saw forza 1 and gears 1 as system sellers, they're not going to feel any differently about forza 57 and gears 82. new IP's might be a risk, but they're typically a risk that bring in fresh blood so to speak, even if they're not particularly successful overall.

Wow, so sad to see what MS had to show this time around. Why bother with the scorpio if they are not creating new IPs or even using maximizing the hardware potential? As fine as Forza looks, I'm sure it's severely under utilizing the hardware -- just like every 'first wave' game ever.

Well, a lot of 1st party games and almost thirty 3rd party titles will be in real 4K.

Bioware didn't make it, so it seems - I actually was surprised at the MS conference to see them at the graphical battle-front :)

But ANTHEM sill is an intriguing game, even if it is checker-boarded on the X - and you know: if it is struggling on the X, all other consoles will be worse.

PS: of course PC will have the best version, before Grift chimes in - hahahaha

I agree but Ferguson said they will never go outside of Gears and that is all is about so unless they bring someone else to head or break the studio up I doubt will be seeing any new IP from them. However I do think they can change the Gears format instead of continuing the story they can just start a new story with new characters in a new location basically make it like the Final fantasy series or GTA each numbered instalment deals with a new story.

4K Gears has existed for a year now, its on PC :) The texture work in that game is really suspect, it can look great at times and really terrible at times. I expected more out of Coalition. I'm about 5 hours in and enjoying it quite a bit overall, assuming I'm halfway done with it?
