One more year has passed and Gamersyde is still up and running, not a given considering how hard it is now for us to compete with the big US websites. Since it started in 2003, the "Yde" adventure has known some great times, thanks to the talent of the many editors who have had the opportunity to bring some of their expertise to good use, making of Gamersyde the reference you all know in terms of HD content. Unfortunately, things have changed a lot in the past few years, as more and more trailers and videos come out first on GT, IGN and the others. Today, despite the support of most publishers, we are having a hard time keeping the site alive because the running costs are too high now compared to the number of visitors we get. We try hard though, as proven by the many articles we keep releasing in French and English. By the way, we owe our team of newsers a lot, as without them you would not have been able to read the 1717 news they wrote this year. Yeah, that much!
Because we have no idea what tomorrow will be like for us, we have decided to look back on yesterday, to look back on the past twelve months during which you kept supporting our work, making it worth for us to continue. We have done our best, which may not have been enough for some of you, but keep in mind we are a very small team with quite limited means. Thank you all, because our efforts would be meaningless without you, we wish you a happy new year and we hope to be able to do the same one year from now. Sometimes it really feels it is going to be unlikely, but let us be a tad optimistic for once. After all, you never know right? Before I let you have a look at a year's work, I should also say that the team and I took the liberty to list our 5 most favorite games of this year (among those we got a chance to play for more than 10 minutes) and we are definitely interested in discovering yours. So now, let the comments start!
